Summary: Wow...
Review: ...I did check the reviews here first and have to agree. Setup was a few minutes and the display looks stunning with no bad pixels that I could see. Colors are rich and saturated with excellent blacks and everything is so sharp. I thought my Sony laptop LCD was da bomb, not it looks dowdy compared to this great product. Have not tried the speakers and may not. I also have not gotten into the controls, however I don't think I need to adjust anything at all. Great product, I am a Viewsonic believer now.

Summary: Viewsonic VX900
Review: After doing a considerable amount of window shopping, I chose the Viewsonic VX900 to replace my faithful 19" Trinitron CRT. This bright LCD monitor reproduces very natural colors and opens up ALOT of space on my desk. I play a number of games on my computer and so it was important that the screen be fast enough to keep up with the action. When I first set the monitor up I had it connected through its analog port and noticed some ghosting when playing games. Later I hooked it up through its DVI port and the monitor showed very little lag. I have been using this monitor daily for 2 weeks now and have found no dead pixels. With Microsoft's Cleartype technology, text on this monitor looks every bit as dark and sharp as it did on my CRT. I've read that the built in speakers are a weak point of this monitor but I can't really comment on that since I chose not hook those up. Overall, I'm very pleased with the VX900 and would recommend it to anyone shopping for a 19" LCD. monitor.

Summary: No question about deserving 5 Stars...
Review: Being in the business I know exactly what to look for and I can't believe anyone would want to lower the rating from the perfect 5 stars this monitor deserves. I have my own small business & have installed and sold any number of VX900's. Every customer that has had the money to upgrade to a 19' LCD has gotten the ViewSonic VX900. To say that every customer was extremely satisfied would be a vast understatement, they are always thrilled when they fire up this superior monitor for the first time. Because of the inherit nature of the 19' LCD it will always have a pixel pitch of .294; when running @ the native resolution of 1280 x 1024; it is a simple math equation that puts the pixels that far apart which will cover the entire 19' viewable screen. If you increase the screen size without increasing the resolution the pixel pitch will always get bigger. I have run many movies & games on the VX900 and never noticed any pixelation or "ghosting". The games I am running typically run @ 120 FPS, and because this LCD is extremely fast it will not pixelate. I would also recommend that you ask your local retailer to run some video and or fast paced game to see that this monitor can handle it with nothing but the best picture quality and response time. If you do, you will be most impressed....

Summary: This IS the monitor worth the money
Review: Don't be fooled by negative reviews made by self proclaimed tech experts of 10 years. Especially when they post reviews to bring down the overall rating of the VX900 because they "think" it isn't that good. The VX900 once properly setup, will flat out amaze you. Anyone interested in a monitor of this size and price is looking for DVI. This is where the VX900 leaves others behind. Bright, beautiful and fast, this is the best bang for the bucks out there.

I don't use the built in speakers (I have a separate speaker system) but I did plug in my PC just to listen to them and they weren't that bad considering their small size. The only drawbacks I've seen so far (I've had it for 5 months) are the lack of pivot technology (being able to turn the screen to a full page format), lack of Viewsonic releasing a screen protector for the 19" model (it's avail for the 17 only). It is an attrative unit with good fit and finish, has an excellent warranty including the backlight and my unit had NO dead pixels which can often be a problem in LCD monitors. I would recommend this monitor to anyone looking to save deskspace.

Summary: Great Deal / Very Happy
Review: I am obviously very pleased with my purchase of the Viewsonic vx900 lcd monitor. It is very clear and sharp, and I was blown away when I watched dvd movies on it. It is cinema quality, with no dead pixels. The controls are awesome and implicit.
I play online games and this is one area that concerned me. When first installed, movement was blurred because of the slower refresh rate as compared to the crt that this replaced. I installed a new g force 4 128 meg digital video card, and virtually eliminated the blur problem. Analog connection was not the way to go. Easy to set up, and no glare to contend with. Again, very happy.

Summary: AMAZING Functiong & Looking Device
Review: I bought this item 6 months ago. I also bought a Sony unit and compared these 2 screens to my DELL 21" CRT Monitor. This device is just unreal, Ghosting people talk about for fast movement even in many games is almost UNHEARD OF. Image clarity at any angle is terrific. Desk space saved is Fabulous. The look and design of this sleek Blk/Slvr unit is Gorgeous. I couldn't have asked for a better Flat screen. The images are as clear if not clearer than my HULK of a 21" monster CRT unit. Viewsonic Knows their stuff and the designer was asked for input as this device is way cool looking! That's helps too!!
And finally the PRICE IS SOO RIGHT!!

Review: I bought this monitor for the many features it has. The quality is quite evident in this monitor. Amazing digital picture. If you want a great monitor this is the one for you. I did months of research and this is the best deal for the money!!
