Summary: trouble-free ownership experience
Review: I bought my NEC 1860NX over a year ago. Setting it up was easy, it has no problems staying in whatever position you set it - the hinges and bushings in the base are quite solid.
One problem many people have with LCDs is dead pixels. Mine has none, and has continued to have the same great picture quality as it had when I first got it, even after packing it back up and shipping it when I moved to Seattle.
One of the most appealing aspects of this monitor is that you simply don't notice it. It is comfortable for viewing with the room lights on or off, and honestly I've never had to tweak the monitor settings after I set it up initially.
The price on this one hasn't really fallen much since I bought it, but I still consider it to be worth it. You're getting an excellent deal, considering the peace of mind that comes with the high-quality product.
