Review:
I have had my Sony HMD a200 for a few years now and have been pleased by it's performance. In the first year, the 4 usb ports were awesome and made a lot of my gaming friends jealous. But by the end of year one, or in the middle of year 2, all of the ports quit working. Luckily, I had the forsight to have extra ones installed on my case or this could have been bad. Since the warranty is up, there is no way to fix the ports without paying an arm and a leg.
This monitor is good for a person who is an casual gamer or who uses the monitor for microsoft office applications. It does have a good quality picture but occasionally when watching movies or playing games I can see distortions and lines. My next monitor will not be a sony.

Review: I bought this monitor second-hand for my mother, to go with her new computer. Everyone in my family who has seen it has been impressed with it. At first I was worried about the wire shadows, since some users have complained about them, but they are difficult to notice and haven't been an issue. Overall, this is a sturdy and well-built monitor with a good picture and one of the most stylish cases I've seen. It really looks and feels high-end. Though it may not perform to the standards of the most demanding users, it's great for anyone who wants a stylish mid-sized flat screen unit.

Summary: Ho-Hum
Review: I got this monitor and was thrilled when I took it out of the box. However, whenever I display a white page, I get a really annoying hum sound. When I return to dark, it goes away. Besides that, it is a nice monitor, but now that I have had it 15 days, the store wouldn't take it back.

Review: I had a highly visible "distortion" problem with this monitor. Vertical lines near the middle of the picture were severely distorted. The monitor has built in adjustments to deal with distortion around the edges, but there's no way to control distortion near the center. I had high hopes for this monitor, but had to return 2 of them.

Review: I really liked this monitor when I got it. It looked great and I loved the wide screen on it. I spent 350 on it and was hoping I didn't have to buy a new monitor. Well this monitor only came with a 1 year manufacturer warranty and broke in a year and 3 months... I was really disappointed to spend so much money on a monitor to not even have it last 2 years.
It has a great picture and the vertical lines were fairly noticable but only on a white background. I guess I learned my lesson when buying a monitor with only 1 year warranty and from sony.

Summary: Best 17" Monitor on the Market
Review: The HMD-A200 17" is a great Monitor for anyone to use. I have had 4 computer monitors and I would say the fourth one is the best. The Sony A-200 17" is By far the best 17" around! I've heard of some people haveing problems with the display I've found it to be the most simplest to use and the best display! One button lets you change all of the display options. Wow! Very crisp clear screen! If you don't have one get one! You will be so ammmmazzzzed by this Monitor. You'd think that it was a 19" really!

Summary: A bit Disappointed
Review: The reason I bought sony monitor because of its sharp and clear display. I also like the flat screen, however, it also comes with some distortion (I believe it's called pincushion effect). I find it disturbing. I tried to use sony's menu to correct the problem, but it doesn't work. What I see is slightly curved lines instead of horizontal lines. Interestingly, this distortion gives a 3D effect to the pictures that is displaying which is not a good thing.
