Summary: For such price - GREAT DEAL!
Review: I am using this monitor for about 15 months, and it works great!
I recommend it to anyone who wants to find reasonable solution for such price.
I have $600 CRT monitor at work, and this Envision at home and honestly I don't see any difference. So why bother with paying more? :)

Summary: Sharp but jittery even at 85Hz
Review: I bought this monitor instead of an LCD to save money. Yes the resolution goes up to 1200 x 1084 at 85Hz, but it jitters. The screen geometry at any resolution is hopelessly warped at every corner. The color and sharpness are good, but that's about all.

Summary: Great monitor, great price.
Review: I originally bought a nec 97f 19inch monitor. I returned it because it's picture was too grainy and it started to make a high pitched sound at times. This monitor is so much better. The picture is much sharper and the adjustment controls are easy to use and figure out. The price is very good too.

Summary: Envision 980e
Review: I purchased the Envision 980e in January 2002. The color and response time is great for the price and 19" size! I had no problems adjusting the settings without reading the instruction manual.

I'm currently running a 1.4 ghz 266 mhz AMD Athlon with 512 mb RAM on a Soyo motherboard.

Summary: Good monitor at a reasonable price
Review: I recently purchased an EN-980e to replace an older 19" monitor that caught fire(!) on my desk. It is definitely a step up from the monitor it replaced (and not just because it hasn't caught fire yet).

First, the good news. The display is bright and fairly sharp. The screen is quite flat (in fact, it gives the same illusion of being concave that the Sony FD Trinitrons give you) and glare is low. Colors look well-saturated (to my untrainted eye). MacOS X was able to automatically recognize the monitor through the Ati Rage128 video card and select the correct color profile for it. The monitor responds quickly to display sleep/display wake events.

The bad news? There's just a little. While it supports higher refresh rates than other displays at this price point (85Hz at 1280x1024, 75Hz at 1600x1200), I'd like to see those brought up one more notch. There's a little ghosting around black text on a light-colored background. The enclosure still takes up quite a bit of space on your desk.

The verdict? An above average monitor for the price. Definitely worth a look if you're in the market for a 19" monitor...

Summary: Envision 980e
Review: I spent several days looking and comparing prices. Almost bought a different brand at [a local store]. Even got the sales associate to plug it into a demo computer. As a last try I logged on to Amazon and found the Envision. The price was equal to [a local store] but something made me settle on the Envision. When it arrived I know what it was. The ease of operation and the crystal clear display. When looking for a big screen monitor look no farther than the Envision. There is nothing better.

Summary: Can I be happier?
Review: No, I cannot. From the moment I opened up this 19" Flat Monitor I have been as giddy as a school-boy. Easy to install and get going. In less than 10 minutes I was surfing on the net and being astounded at the incredible color rendering on the screen. I heard the monitor was good, but I didnt know it was this good. When I compare it to my old ViewSonic monitor - I am 100x more pleased - honestly. This monitor kicks [bootie]!
The really cool thing about this Envision monitor is the FLAT screen. So much more pleasing to look at than those regular concave screens. Gracias Envision - you guys make a rocking product.
