Rating: Summary: This thing is better than Rio, and at a better price too! Review: I bought this about one week ago and one of the best things about it is its price and its capabilities. I mean, one time my floppy disk got broken and I didnt have any other way of storing my lost data. So, I remembered about the feature that could also store other types of files besides MP3 (bmp., txt,[which Rio cant do]) brought it to my school and was able to print out my huge 14 page research paper before the beginning of school. Also, get better headphones if you buy this product. THIS THING ROCKS!
Rating: Summary: This Product has horrible sound quality Review: this product is extremely sad when it comes to the quality of the sound. I think if you are planning on buying a Portable Mp3 player, buy the Rio...it comes in pretty colors too!
Rating: Summary: Great smart thing, does exactly what it should do! Great! Review: Plays mp3 files stored in Compact-Flash memory. Really long battery life (using duracel ultra), the download time does not take too long. Perfect sound quality, good basses, colourfull sound. It could be louder thou. One thing to watch is limited plaform support (Win9x and Linux - but not generally UNIX)
Rating: Summary: Extremely easy to use, Excellent sound quality Review: I just received mine a couple of days ago and liked it so much, I bought a second one for my girlfriend. It was extremely simple to use and comes with a very good selection of software(encoders, rippers, etc.) The sound quality is excellent with the bass boost. I purchased this over the Rio since you can swap cards with other MPman owners and can save non-mp3 files to it. The headphones aren't bad and the player sounds good on my car stereo using a cassette adapter. I must admit the buttons ould be more helpful if they were on the front of the unit, like the RIO's, I would highly recommend this to anyone and it's a steal when you consider that mp3's are free!!
Rating: Summary: Product seems inferior to the Rio Review: I have the Rio, and from what I see, the F20 doesn't do anything the Rio can't, and can't do some things the Rio can. The Rio can download or upload, and it can hold any file format. Maybe the F20 can do this too. After-market software is what makes it possible for the Rio...and it has four EQ settings for audio types(normal, classical, jazz, and rock). The audio quality is as good as the Mp3 you upload, once you replace the lousy headphones.
Rating: Summary: This is the best mp3 player out there! Review: The Eiger Labs MPMan F20 is way better than any other player, in that it has awesome crisp sound and it comes with great ear buds that really kick. Another great thing about it is that it has a mega bass boost that rocks. I did alot of research before I bought this one and I am very pleased. For get about Rio buy the MPMan F20!
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: Great! 5 minutes and it worked perfectly. The sound was the real winner over the Rio, which I have used before. Buy it!
Rating: Summary: Very good player if you are into MP3's Review: I find the player to be slick. Its compact and lightweight and the sound quality is excellent. I chose this product over the Rio because of the different bass enhancement settings (similar to mega bass), and with the F20, you can also upload different files onto it, besides MP3's. The Rio does not allow this. I have one complaint however. The supplied headphones are terrible. The sound quality is very poor. I was glad I had some extra Sony headphones lying around...
Rating: Summary: Good when you get it working Review: Compared to the Rio, the F20 has much better sound quality, and slightly better quality of construction. It has worse control ergonomics, and takes some fiddling to get the software working.
Rating: Summary: a great gadjet once you downloaded it's format Review: well as said - don't know why but it gives you horrible time when you download it's program ....it takes hours (and you have to know what you are doing) till it recognize it self - a tip ! it's not enough to just have a battery in it ...you have to press play so it would recognize it self ..even though you have nothing on yet and it keep's shutting of it's screen (logical). but now that it is "on" IT'S A GREAT THING ! Very comfterbal and easy to use !!!!!
