Summary: MP3 files in my car - Great! MP3 files as a walkman - OK
Review: Although I've rated this player as a 5-star item, your experience with it will depend on your intended use. I use it primarily as a means to play MP3 files in my car and I love it. The sound is quite good, and you can skip to the next song or repeat the previous song through the buttons on your tape deck. Brilliant!

Less than brilliant, however, are the controls to use the Duo MP3 as a stand-alone player. If you primarily intend to use this item to listen to music while you jog, walk to work or class, or do other activities, there are probably better models. You're walking along thinking "Wow, that was a great track! I want to hear it again now!" or "Ugh, why did I put THAT song on? I'll just skip to the next file." Well, you had better hope that you have both hands free 'cuz it takes two hands to repeat or skip a track - one to hold down the up or down volume button and one to hit the play button. What were they thinking? Hopefully, the manufacturer will allow one-handed repeats and skips on their next model.

Summary: Lost opportunity!
Review: Damn it I was patenting this idea over a yr ago until ROME beat me...but I visioned LCD, full flush controls and memory stick, USB as the chosen I/O.

Why do people drop the ball like this - as though they have an idea but have never used or bought consumer electronics.

Summary: WARNING - Buyer Beware!!!!!
Review: Digisette will not back the product!! I purchased the DUO-ARIA 14 months ago and it stopped working. It has a one year warranty - after that your out of luck. I called and asked how I could get it serviced and they told me they will not service any DUO product. Basically, you're on your own - I didn't want anyone else to make the same mistake I did..........

Summary: Corrupted memory when running on Win XP
Review: Don't buy this product! It was running OK on Windows 2000,
but when I downloaded and used their Win XP software on my
new XP box, their software corrupted my Digisette's memory!
Now I can't use the Digisette at all!!!!! Some problems
are OK when moving from one OS to another, but it shouldn't
ruin the product!!!

Summary: Finally, a product that keeps the consumer in mind
Review: I applaude the DUO-MP3 player. It's exactly what I've been looking for. It marries todays MP3 technology with "yesterdays" cassette player. The makers of this unit really had the consumer in mind when designing this unit. The MP3 player by itself is everything it should be but when you play it through a cassette player, WOW....what a pleasure to hear "CD" quality. My only problem now is getting it back from my friends when they listen to it.

Summary: good things but expensive !
Review: i got it from my friend. it is small and its voice is beautiful . i think it is a good mp3 player. the more important is that it can be used in a cassette player. but it is more expensive than any other 32M mp3 plays and only Parallel cable be used. i hope usb interface be supported.

Summary: Awesome concept and design
Review: I love this thing! I have a pickup truck whick I didnt want to upgrade the stereo in. I just pop in the mp3 into the tape deck, and I get the music I want. It is also the smallest walkman I have ever owned. It is small, light and durable. Love it.

Summary: Awesome concept and design
Review: I purchased the Duo-MP3 to listen to audio-books. OK, I should have checked and learned that audio books don't come in MP3 format but rather a format used by Audible.com. My mistake. However, the rest of the mistakes were all due to the Duo-MP3.

Not only does the thing hog the parallel port (I don't have a USB port on my computer), it requires you to run the port in a mode (set through the computer's BIOS) which does not work with EITHER of my printers.

The switches on the Duo-MP3 are FAR too small, the battery cover is difficult to remove, and for some reason, you have to turn off the battery switch (a *tiny* little switch on the side) after you turn off the music -- otherwise the battery runs down even when the unit is not playing anything.

The carrying case is badly designed in every way. It is supposed to clip to your belt, but that is almost impossible. It is difficult to access the controls with the unit in the case.

The battery charger is a clever design, except for the fact that you must unplug it between charges. That makes NO sense. (Why not build in an off-on switch?)

This is a GREAT idea for an MP3 player, but I think this is the alpha-test model....
