Summary: price cheap, feels cheap, is cheap
Review: This deal isn't as great as it sounds.. you are getting what you paid for. It's (inexpensive) because it is a cheap player. You can check for yourself on the Samsung website. The battery cover really does suck. It takes a lot of force to get the cover closed after you put batteries in it. And they give you an extra one... which hints at how seriously bad it is. The player as a whole just feels really cheap. Also, the remote is clumsy and difficult to hold due to its design and where all the buttons are. I give it 3 stars because it does what it's supposed to do for the price you pay for it. I bought one, and I'm returning it. I'd rather shell out like 30 more bucks for a Rio 500 with 64 mb onboard memory. Now that is a player.

Summary: Good value
Review: I've been looking and shopping for an Mp3 player for quite some time now and finally decided to go with the Samsung Yepp'. Since it is my first forray into portable digital audio I didn't want to spend a lot but didn't want a piece of junk either. This unit suits the bill perfectly. It is small, designed clean and smart, and performs like a charm. The sound quality is surprisingly good, even with the ear buds.

If I had to list possible negatives I would have to say that:

- The unit is a bit on the light side (the casing of both the player and the remote feel a bit insubstantial) giving me the impression it might not take wear and tare very well.

- The design (as noted above) of the remote and headphone connectors is a bit annoying, i.e., the wires get tangled and there is barely enough wire to reach your ears from, say, your coat pocket. The display is only on the unit, but if you've only got 7 to 15 songs on the player, so what, you can flip through them in a heartbeat. And I don't usually use the remote (though it does work perfectly). Until they market headphones and remotes on these units that are wireless I think you'll have these issues one way or another, regardless of manufacturer.

- It needs batteries. This is not a big deal, and they last a long time as portable devices go (8 or so hrs of playback), but you still have to buy them as long as you are using the player frequently (it comes with a pair).

And so there you have it. I highly reccommend the Yepp' if you'd like to try out the Mp3's, don't need more than an hour or so of music, and want a smart, small, and efficient bang for the buck (you get that 32Meg flash card coupon).

Summary: Cool little player
Review: Compared to other MP3 players this was the best deal. Using it for workouts is great - my 13 year old wants one for when he runs cross country.

+ Sound is clear. Easy to transfer files. Compact design. Great Price for what you get.
- Battery cover design is not the best. The remote is a little cumbersome.

Summary: Best...
Review: I have been using mp3 players for more than 3 years. I had one of first Rio's, and then Nomad I etc.
I bought this mp3 player 2 weeks ago. Now, I'm so happy that I bought this one. Before buying it, I talked to people who have mp3 players of other brands, compared them all...All of them had strong negative sides, but yepp 32 mb is the best mp3 player I have ever used. It has an amazing! battery life, good price and cool design. But the software is not good. I'm using Yepp-Explorer which I downloaded from samsungyepp webpage.
In general, it's the best mp3 player for the price...
Now I have 96 MB mp3 player for almost 100 $ ( I'm using 64MB Viking Smartmedia card)

Summary: It Does Exactly What I wanted It To Do
Review: The Good
- User friendly (both the s/w and the player)
- Quick file transfer
- Sound quality is fine (even with included headphones)
- 96 MB capacity (64 smart media and 32 internal)

The Bad
- Poor Battery Door Design (extra door included..Hmmm..)
- Belt clip. Interferes with player controls, but if you use the remote it is a moot point

The Ugly

- Nothing ugly to report

For the money, the yepp is a great performer and well worth it for someone that just wants to listen to their own music on a quality device. I suppose there are some gadget freaks out there that this will not be a good selection for, but hey, everyone has their own requirements. To the average person, just buy it. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Summary: Nice, but has a problem with the smartmedia card
Review: Got my Yepp last week...pretty cool little package. It would be great if I could get it to work with my smartmedia cards!! I've tried an 8MB and 64MB card, to no avail. Anybody else have this issue also??

Pros:
It's loud!
Has a high techno gadget factor.
Decent EQ settings.

Cons:
Earbuds are useless.
Using the remote control and headphones is awkward.
RealJukebox software is (bad)...use the Yepp explorer.

Summary: good equibment.. but
Review: Sorry,, poor batteries door,,I don't like the way I have to push the small door to get the batteries fixed in their place,,And the door doesn't look stable at all, that's why Sumsung give you another extra door,, After got it,, I look around the player and feel like it doesn't strong enough,, the plastic body doesn't give a solid feeling at all,,,,,Over all, the product is very easy to use, beside my fuji finepix 4700 that operate with smart media, this tiny player is a very compatible,, I don't have to buy an extra smar media, and if you want to use only the smart media,, you actually don't have to install this player in your computer,, (If you have a card reader, just drag the mp3 files in smart media card, that will be fine).. I give this 4 points becouse the body and the batteries door are poorly build,,

Summary: Good product, but oops, only support no more than 64MB
Review: As said in other reviews, this product is cool,
But it doesn't support SmartMedia bigger than 64MB
Unfortunately I bought a 128MB SM Card.

Summary: Yepp works good for the price.
Review: Well let me tell you first that I am currently using Windows xp Professional with this product. First let me tell you there are no XP certified drivers for this product. I also have the Sony network walkman which is also a mp3 player. And I can say at least for Windows XP, the Yepp still have to develope more.

Sometimes when trying to transfer files, it will error out. Also I updated the Real Jukebox software and everything stopped working but when I go back to the older version things improved.

Compared to the sony network mp3 player, the Yepp transfers music 4 times slower. The batteries also tend to drain quickly even when it's connected via USB which you think would pull power from the USB when connected but it does not.

If you leave the mp3 player connected to the USB on your computer, it will lose battery power. But overall for the price it a great deal because you get the free 32 MB card. But there are some problems with that as well because with Real Jukebox, it sees them as two seperate storage spaces. But in general it works and is a great deal.

Summary: Excellent Piece Of Work!!!!
Review: This is the first Mp3 player I ever bought and I think this little baby is great! I've always had cassette players but never CD players. I was thinking of getting one when I saw this beauty on Amazon.com I just got it and it is so small! I give it five stars because of it's sleek cool look and the small size. One downside to this great player is it's memory. The speed of this thing is also very impressive. It goes pretty fast but gets stuck on 95% then finishes. It only holds about half an hour of music, but there is an offer for another 32mb of space if you send in the rebate and receipt. Overall, this is a great player and I enjoy it very much. Get it if you want a small, compact and cool Mp3 player, but if you want capacity, get something else. I personally love this thing and I think it's the best!
