Review: The good: Great hardware and ergonomics! Great sound, good volume, good battery life. Buttons are placed well, easy to feel and push when you're not looking. Belt clip/pouch secures the headphone jack so it can't fall out when its on your belt. That's a drag.
The bad: Documentation is awful; confusing. Real Player/Jukebox is a nuisance to get rid of if you don't want it. Their version is o.k. and transfers go slowly but without a hitch. About a half hour per hour of music. Very good overall!

Summary: Horrible Customer Service
Review: When I recieved this product as a gift I discovered it was not compatable with windows XP, I called samsungs customer service line waited about an hour and finally got tired of waiting. The next day I sent them an e-mail they replied saying they were working on it. I waited about a month then sent them another e-mail and then they said they weren't going to make xp drivers. Why did they not just tell me this from the start so I could return the product emmediately?

Review: After first receiving this item I gave it a fairly good review. However that was before I tried to contact customer service at Samsung. Let's just put it this way I will avoid buying Samsung products in the future. As the saying goes products are only as good as the company that stands behind the merchandise. I would look at MP3 players from other manufacturers.

Summary: really impressed
Review: I've had the yepp for a day and a half now. I am totally in love with it. The sound is great, even with the stock headphones. I really like the remote control. My only gripe is that the battery case seems a bit flimsy. The software was easy to load (I have a dell laptop running windows ME). Transferring mp3s from my computer to the device was easy, it took a couple minutes, but it was not long. For the price I am very impressed. I'll be using it this weekend for a couple of hours in a noisy environment (the casino) and will be able to say then how well it works there.

Review: Alot of people mention this yepp explorer that they have downloaded from the samsung webb page and that it is better, but i can't seem to find it can someone please help me?

Summary: FABULOUS FO SHEEZY!!!
Review: Yepp is worth the money. It's very light, has a slick design, and the remote control is so convenient. Make sure you buy the 64 mb memory card cuz yepp's internal 32mb is not enough. With Viking's 64mb smart media card, it's cheaper than most other 64mb mp3 players. One downside: Itz easy to press the play/pause button, so you have to be master of using the "hold" button. Upside: There are 2 hold buttons on remote control and main mp3 player each, so I "hold" the main mp3 player buttons and control the music with my remote control. ALL in ALL, I recommend this mp3 player.. itz worth the money especially with the super savings shipping.

Summary: Smartmedia won't fit???
Review: 64 meg Smartmedia card will not fit in the player. I tried 8 & 64 meg and they are 3.3v. Can someone help???

Review: Received this item as a gift and love it. Software is easy to install and operate. I also purchased an addition 64MB smartmedia card for additional storage. I wouldn't consider myself heavy into the mp3 scene, but wanted something for long trips and casual listening and this is perfect. Enjoy!

Summary: Best Bang For The Buck
Review: First of all, this is a very handy little MP3 Player. And for [the price]...it's probably the best MP3 Player out there for that kind of money. I'm a college student and I ride my bike/walk/take the bus to class everyday. This MP3 Player fits in my jean pocket so easily, its easy to forget I have it with me sometimes. The sound quality is also very good, and the EQ Presets makes it even better! However, I thought the earphones that came with the MP3 Player were a bit lacking, so I bought the Aiwa HP-J30S Swoop Style headphones...the sound is amazing. I also love the backlit LED Remote Control, it makes things very convenient. Some people complain about the battery door, but I really don't think it's a problem at all. I would also suggest you use rechargable AAA batteries with this player to save money. Bottom Line: This MP3 Player performs remarkably well, has lots of features, and you can't find another mp3 player as good as this for the price.
