Summary: Excellent deal!
Review: I've had the product for about two weeks now and I'm very happy with it.
Pros
1.)small size
2.)cool silver color goes with anything
3.)all the features you really need
4.)good, clean sound (especially when you use good headphones)
5.)works with windows XP (Find the Yepp explorer XP update on the Samsung site)

Cons
1.)Yeah, the belt clip sucks, but just put it in your jeans pocket. The player is so small that it fits comfortably.
2.)Not too much memory, but unless you want to sacrifice a lot more money or buy an MP3 CD player and sacrifice size, then this is your best bet. I just upload new songs onto it often. It's not that big of a hassle, really.

I use the damn thing about everyday. It's great! It's sexy! Buy one!

Summary: Great Product
Review: This MP3 player is great, especially for the price. Easy to transfer files and very small and lightweight. It does feel a little flimsy, but that is why it's so light and only 4 stars. Definately the player to get on a limited budget

Summary: Great mp3 player
Review: great sound, it's small, convenient and cheap, you can't go wrong.

Summary: decent product
Review: Works well with XP. Realjukebox software slows down computer tremendously. Belt clip doesn't fit. Very annoying. Only takes up to 64MB smart cards. Otherwise a decent purchase.

Summary: Not for running
Review: I'll agree that this mp3 player is a great value, but if you want to use it to run, don't bother. The belt clip is worthless. Even though the Yepp is very light, it bounced around so much I ended up either putting it on the treadmill or carrying it. The remote control is also useless. I could never tell which was the equalizer button and which was the fast forward so I would have to bring it up close to see which I think defeats the purpose. I'll be purchasing the Nike mp3 player next time.

Summary: Nice for the money...
Review: This is a good little player, but not perfect. On the plus side it is plenty small enough for me, I happen to like the belt clip (which holds the headphone jack in when you use it) and for very few dollars you can buy one and a 64Meg SmartMedia card and have a solid state MP3 player with a decent storage capacity (more if you carry extra cards too!). On the other hand... the display sadly does not display the artist/title info (a main perk of MP3's!). I also didn't like that it continues to drain the batteries even when plugged into the USB port! That sucks! If you load some stuff on there and forget to unplug it you will drain your batteries down! Weak!

For the (low, low) price though I can overlook these problems easily! It is super cheap, small, light and is solid state! I am very happy despite it's few shortcomings.

Summary: Good price, some useful quick fixes and one question
Review: 1. Good price:
Since now you can get a 64 MB SmartMedia card for ..., you pretty much have a player of 96 MB for less than .... This is quite a good deal.

2. Some drawback and quick fixes:
a. The belt-clip: It is rediculous to see a big company like Samsung shipping a useless (too small) belt-clip with a good product. I was upset at first but I fixed it with a ... Velco tape added next to the original velco area. This does not look perfect but is working well for me.

b. The file transfer program is slow. I use the Yepp Explorer from SamsungYepp.com and it takes long time to transfer files. My fix is that I get a ... Dazzle media reader and it work like a charm. A 20 MB batches of MP3 files took less than 1 minutes now to get into my SmartMedia. (however, make sure you use the player to format the SM media before use. If you use the Dazzle reader to format it, the MP3 player have problem reading it.)

The Media reader also double as a quick removable drive for me... 32 or 64 MB data on a tiny little plastic, nice!

The question:
Now, I want to know if it hurt the SmartMedia if I swap it in-and-out of MP3 player very often? The Media card seems to be thin and fragile to me.

Summary: you get what you pay for...
Review: I recently purchased this MP3 player. I have a couple of gripes: First, when the LCD lights up I can hear it in the headphones. Second, the belt clip is too small. I have to literally cram the player into it. Third and lastly, the the sound quality is so so, the thing feels flimsy, the headphone wire is too short and the software is the slow.

On the other hand, it is very affordable and works pretty well. Buy it if you want a [low cost] MP3 player that performs OK.

Summary: Whoa. What a deal! Works on WinXP, too.
Review: I was a little skeptical at first, but the player is an excellent value.... Its battery cover is a bit flimsy, but Samsung ships an extra one in the box so no worries. I didn't even touch the driver CD with the RealJukebox and Macintosh drivers, since I'm a Windows XP user.... A Rayovac NIMH battery charger, AAA NIMH 4-pack, and 64MB SmartMedia card... makes this a killer player. Dude, you need to get a Samsung. :)

Summary: Nice Surprise
Review: For a first time MP3 user, this player is fantastic. I didn't really know what to expect after reading all of the reviews, but decided to give it a shot. I had it up and running with some of my favorite CD hits within half an hour or so. I think it sounds great, and it's perfect for my needs - short distance jogging. The battery door is cheap, but you learn to be gentle with it. The headphones were useless to me because they didn't fit, but I had a cheap pair I plugged in and they work great. Well worth the money!!!
