Summary: Rio 600 is prettier and better
Review: The Rio 600 may not appeal to you because of its 32 mb of memory but this MP3 player is one of thebest I have used. It doesn't skip at all, and it plays back the music even better than the Rio 500 or Nomad 2. It is also clorful which is a welcome change from the boring silver or white that MP3 players generally come in. In addition the USB connection is faster than parrelel and transfers the music clearer and crisper. For all these reasons the RIO 600 is my choice for MP3 on the go.

Summary: A good buy
Review: The diamond Rio pmp 600 is an excellent buy in terms of everything. It sells at a very low price and you can even get your own face plates to make it "your own" mp3 player. You can get an hour of music on it and at the cost of $55 another hour. The Rio 600 also is compatible on the Macintosh system which is a feature very hard to find on Mp3 players. The rio 600 is a must have.

Summary: the RIO 600 is the RIO rival of NOMAD II
Review: The Rio 600 is like the MP3 player of tomorrow, it's like the Nomad II, but with $169, it's alot cheaper than the NOMAD II, altough the NOMAD II packs with stuff like voice recorder, FM tuner, but the NOMAD II can't expand the memory and the RIO 600 can be expanded to 340MB of memory. It's a 176MB different! So if you want to get a portable MP3 player with more memory, buy the RIO 600, and if you want a MP3 player with more stuff in it, get the NOMAD II.

Summary: A new blast from the past
Review: The diamond rio's continues to outshine other mp3 players byfar. This one is even cheaper than the 500 and lets you changefaceplates. The new usb is even faster than the older one. 340 megabites is the most upgradeable mp3 player I've heard off...

Summary: PERFECT PLAYER
Review: I just recieved this thing and tore the packing off today. I had it connected to my iMac's USB port inno time and the software was a breeze. At about 10 seconds a track the uploading to the player was a breeze. Once I had done that I took the thing with me on my bike. The actuall construction of the player is much better than it's precedors- a rubberized outter layer makes it durable and I dropped it pretty good but it didn't seem to do a thing. The Player plays much louder with better base then my friend's 500, and the better head phones that are included help too. It's much smaller than a 300 or 500 and it's curved design fits well in my hand, but I like to clip it to my belt. Theres some kind of port on the back were you clip on the memory "backpacks" which is good becuase 32MB might not be enough (you can put plenty in, for what i hear, not much money). The LCD screen is clear and easy to read, and the button layout is very simple. I tried pulling and yanking or banging things on the player but the whole thing is really solid! When I had my friend's 500 it felt fragile and I was afraid to drop it. Anyway in about 5-6 hours of use so far I have found nothing wrong with it and I am throughly content, plus I saved $100 as I was going to buy the 500. I recomend this anyday over a 500, and would recomend this to anyone with it's ease of use and attractive price Tag.

Summary: Rio 600- The Nearest To Perfect Mp3 Player
Review: I just recieved this thing today, tore of the wrapping and connected it to my iMac's USB port. After installing Sound Jam MP, my computer imediatly detected the player. I loaded about 10 tracks on lighting fast, it took about 3 min.s a track. I really like the software it came with and I think I am going to buy the full version. The Player it's self feels a lot more solid then the older players, with a kind of ruberized surfice. Its smaller too, and it's curved sides fit really well in your hand. I dropped it on my bike once, and it took the fall well. The Sound is louder than the old players too, and the base as well is better, esp. with the better head phones. My only complaints ar e as follows- this thing is way too cool...hope I no one steals it (hehe). Other than that theres really nothing about it I've found in the 4-5 hours of use. The 32 MB is a tad small, but I hear the memory "backpacks" that you can buy are cheap and huge. I asume they clip onto the back becuase theres a kind of a port for it. I really can't complain about this player it's great! And for $169.99 it's a steal! This is not the expensive, cheaply made thing like the 300/500, it's great! Sporty, Sexy, Slick and Small this thing is gonna be big.

Summary: Great little player at the time.
Review: I've had my little Rio for 5 years now and am passing this little jewel on to my youngest son for part of his 15th birthday. For what it is, it's an excellent little player. I use it when I'm studying and when it runs out, I know it's time for a break :-)

My only complaint about this is that I can't seem to find the memory pack anywhere now.

All in all, a great little player.

Summary: I use it since 2000, for nearly five years already!!
Review: Yes I bought in early 2000 it is nearly five years. At that times this player was incredible and as I can see it is still around, and still so.. The memory was high that times now it is a little small but I put my best songs and it is enough for that. Since they are my best songs I repeat and repeat. It is robust great functioning but it consumes batteries terrible. Even it is off it consumes so take the batteries away. I bought NiMh batteries to charge and carry more than one in journeys. USB is very good and to put songs is a childs play. The software makes WMA's automatically from your CD's. Even cddb support is there. The colour the shape is still buzzy and awesome. The buttons are quality. A negative point: there is no radio. It would be better with radio. There is even playlist and other funcitons related that I found ridiculous because with just 32MB it is one playlist and it's enough.. maybe they thought about the legendery "backpacks" to boost the memory which is impossible to reach especially here in Turkey..
Sound quality is brilliant and crystal clear. A must for travellers and gadget lovers (that's me!:)

Summary: Cheap but Good
Review: I have had one going non stop for 3 months and it hasn't given up. I use one to pipe in about 30 minutes of background music in a room that people visit. The software was OK and it got me up and running. It plays WMA files which are smaller then MP3 files and heck I can't tell the difference.
