Rating: Summary: good looking and user friendly ! Review: This is my first review. I got this laptop M35-S359 from Best Buy for a good deal. This laptop looks sexy and i really love to see movies in it. it has got lot of user friendly features like SD card port(useful if you have digital camera), IR port(useful if you have cell phones like nokia 3650), volume control etc. The only bad part i don't like is, the whole bottom part heats up and it is hot. i don't know whether this will be problem to electronic components in the long run. They could have compromised the size a little bit for this. overall iam satisfied with this notebook.
Rating: Summary: Best Laptop I could find in the PC and Mac Market! Review: This is my new toy! I love the new M35 Toshiba Satallite. It has been overall a great new computer. The new screen is easy on the eyes, the speakers and headphone controls are wonderful. The keyboard is easy on the hands and wrists.I can burn CDs on here. The Screen is very crip and colors are georgous. I love this computer and bought it for only one reason. To write a Screenplay, a Stageplay, and Fiction Book: all from one story. I knew that I could no longer work on a CRT screen, those days are behind me now. I highly advise this computer over all other systems. The screen itself was my decision making factor. Compared to HP, Sony, Gateway (for sure!)...and Apple? Please, their LCD screens on the Ibook and Powerbook leave you cross eyed. The focus and clarity of this 15.+" screen is by far the best I have found. Anyways, great luck to you. I love my new Laptop from Toshiba. The reason I gave it only 4 stars instead of 5, was because of Contrast saving button. It doesnt remember the position you set it last. Instead, you are forced to have the control panel remember your last setting. And it restarts at that same level every time. That was my only beef, but really a small one at that. :) Brian Kortmeyer
Rating: Summary: Definitely not a multimedia laptop Review: This is not meant to be a full, all-inclusive review. These are just the points that did not meet my expectations. 1. It doesn't look as good as in pictures. In fact, I think it looks ugly. 2. The sound is way too soft. There is no function key to control volume. At the top volume, you can barely hear sound from movies or music. 3. The 4200 rpm hard disk makes the computer sloooow when running more than one application at a time. Those were my major gripes. It actually is an OK laptop - but who buys an OK laptop when they can buy the best? The screen is nice, Intel's integrated wireless is cool, it comes with a DVD player ... everything else is pretty much what you would expect from a 15" laptop.
Rating: Summary: Terrible Tech Support Review: Toshiba may make good products, but their support is the worst i have ever come across. They have lost my laptop for over a month now and do not care a lick about it. They're tech support team is in Turkey and they dont care a thing about anybody. They kept hanging up on me and refused to help me saying it will take some time. When i called back- no one knew anything and had zero updates. DO NOT BUY TOSHIBA PRODUCTS! Get a Gateway or Dell instead...two companies that actually care about their customers.
