Summary: WOW!!
Review: I have had this almost a month. The display is unbelievable, I played "Oh Brother Where Art'd Thou" DVD and saw things I didn't even notice on the TV. It is simple has everything you need and the burner works like a floppy. If you want to use a mouse and/or a keyboard, it uses USB only. XP works great on it also. It does digital photos like an editing studio.

I planned to use it for the vacation place, but my wife has captured it for her use in the house with a wireless connection to DSL, it goes anywhere.

Summary: I really like this notebook so far...
Review: This is the first laptop I've had in a while and I've always been hesitant of getting one with a touchpad since the early days. I've always preferred the "pencil eraser". This touchpad is extremely easy to use.

The screen looks nice and is large. XP boots a lot faster than my 1 GHz P3 running Windows 2000.

The only thing that seems could use a little work is the heat from the bottom after it's been running for a while. It gets quite warm.

The Amazon specs say that it comes with a CD RW plus DVD RW, but mine has a CD RW / DVD drive, not DVD RW. Not a big drawback, though. I think it's acually a mistake in the Amazon specs. I may be wrong...

So far that's the only drawback I've noticed... All in all this is a great machine for a great price! Well done HP.
