Summary: Why All the Negativity?
Review: ... These headphones work great for me. One important thing to consider when purchasing wireless headphones is whether you leave in an apartment complex or your own house. Wireless headphones are notorious for working poorly in apartment complexes, where there are so many 900mhz cordless phones operating and a bevy of other electronic devices bouncing off each other. If you live in your own house, these headphones can work great for you. I use them primarily in my kitchen and living room area, and moving from room to room, there may be an occasional milli-second of static, but once the connection rights itself, it is 100% stable. Now, if I were to go upstairs or downstairs, then the connection goes unstable. But staying on the same floor, no problems. People just need to exercise common-sense when using wireless electronic devices, this is no miracle worker.Comfort and sound-wise, the RS-65's rate high. The inside of the headband is lined with velour, as are the ear-cups, for a very snug and soft fit. If you have big ears, the circumaural fit may not work for you however. Sound quality is quite good, they aren't as good, of course, as the HD-580 or HD-600's, but hey remember, they're wireless. The reason to get these 'phones is for convenience to roam around(not floor to floor though) freely listening to your favorite music, without disturbing the spouse and kids.

Summary: RS65 Exceeds My Expectations
Review: After reading the negatives and positives, I decided to buy it anyways but my expectations were not that great. I needed it mainly to watch TV and listen to music in the same room --to keep the kids' noises away. So I figured it will work. I figured right and more. The RS65 works so well just about anywhere in my house and also in the backyard without interference. The unit takes some getting used to on your ears but after a while, I actually forgot it being there on my head. That's how light and comfortable it is. I love it. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of two things. One, I can't turn on/off the surround sound (SRS) from my headset. I have to do it from the transmitter base. The other is that the charging of the headset is tricky. You have to make sure it's seated right or it doesn't charge.

Summary: Poor Right Out of the BOX!
Review: After reading the variety of reviews on Amazon I still went ahead and bought a pair. What a mistake! First I waited 24 hours for the batteries to charge, a little long bey hey, I waited patiently. Next, the base unit wouldn't turn on. Instruction said the base unit automatically turns on when the headphones are turned on. Nope. I had to unplug the base unit and plug back in to turn it on. Next, they a constant low level hissing...on every channel. And don't change headphone channels with them on your ears or you get a very LOUD popping noise. And the grand finale was they automatically shut off every 3-5 minutes. Packing them up tomorrow and shipin em back...

Summary: cracks and pops
Review: As many people have pointed out, be prepared for static and temporary loss of signal as you move around while wearing these. It might annoy you (like me) to the point of having to go through the hassle of returning them. I do find them light and comfy, and the sound is fine ifmost of the time. If you keep your head stationary you won't have any break in the sound. But if your head is perfectly stationary, do you really need cordless? My opinion: live with the cord if you can...until the technology gets a bit better... it will.

Summary: Great Headphones
Review: Buying headphones is a problem because most of the time you can't try them out before you buy them. With wireless it's even worse because there are very few merchants that have them out for demonstrations. Well after researching wireless headphones, I decided on these mainly because of the great reviews and the name. These are my first pair of wireless headphones and I am very impressed. The sound quality was excellent, there is very little ear fatigue and the battery life is excellent. This set comes with 2 so you'll always have a freshly charged one. I dont' have a specific time length of the batteries but I usually am able to use them for 2 to 3 hours at a time without recharging them for about an entire week. Occasionally the signal will be scrambled for whatever reason but it is rare. The only major complaint is that you can't really lie down with them because the headphones are a bit bulky but otherwise, these are fantastic headphones. The top rated one for wireless headphones was an Advent 2.4gh in consumer reports and the rs65's were a close second. But after researching, apparently there really isn't that much of a difference between 900mhz and 2.4ghz and I've been very happy with them. I would highly recommend these.

Review: Good sound, lightweight -- but it stopped working altogether in just about a month. Now I have to deal with repair or return. Not such a good deal after all.

Summary: VOLUME INADEQUATE
Review: I BOUGHT THE RS65 ... I AM NOT SATSFIED WITH THE VOLUME FOR A SYSTEM THAT COST ME $$$ AFTER DISCOUNT. ON DISPLAY AT THE SHOW THE VOLUME IS LOW AND YOU DO NOT GET THE CORRECT IMPRESSION. THE SURROUND SOUND IS TERRIFIC BUT I DID EXPECT MORE I.C.W THE VOLUME.I WOULD LIKE ...THE REP TOLD ME TO FIRST TURN UP THE VOLUME OF THE TV AND THEN THE HEADPHONES BUT IT DOES NOT WORK.

Summary: Honest Review
Review: I bought these headphones about a month ago and i am 100% satisfied. I do not have much experience with high quality headphones, so obviously these are the best i have heard from. I got them for college so i can be listening while my other 3 roommates do whatever they want and they are mostly blocked out. There are certain spots around the appartment that have static reception, but a quick press of the "tone" button on the headset cures that problem right up. All i can say is go to your nearest electronics store and check their selection of wireless earphones and see the crappy quality for the same price you can get these. The ear pads are very comfy and just takes about 5 long uses to wear em in, but once that is accomplished, these are very comfy to wear. Bass reproduction is surpisingly good, as well is everything else. One note, on the plug that you would put into the headphone jack, it has a 1/8 inch - 1/4 inch adapter already on it, something i didnt know. The surround reproduction with the SRS is actually amazing. Since i use these for my computer and Windows media player has the SRS "wow" effect, it brings them to life. These will get as loud as you want them, and ever further beyond that, so you wont have to worry about that. The charging mechanism is somewhat complicated, but after a good 3 minutes i figured it out. the little red charger light is always on and when its really charging, this light gets bigger. you actually have to pull the earphones down (adjustable) a little to get it to fit snuggly into its place. i actually did a test of my own to see battery-life and i was excited that it actually exceeded the 4 hours that they said it would be. Overall, this is a great pair of earphones for $130ish. Compared to every other brand, i cant see any comparison.

Summary: Not as good as I thought.
Review: I bought these headphones less than a year ago. Then they quit. I only used them 2 hours per night to watch TV. I had good reception (went outside with them behind my house), while they were working. I sent them back to the factory in Old Saybrook, CT. It appeared they sent me a new set. But they only worked for a few minutes and then cut out. Try another brand.

Review: I bought these phones as an upgrade to the cheap Sony's I had been using for late night viewing. There is no comparison. The RS-65s are a superior product. You have to make sure that your receiver output doesn't saturate the transmitter circuit; I had a cheapo DVD/CD player that did just that, and even Natalie Imbruglia had a Neil Young like distortion. The unit has a very good discriminator, and noise is kept to a minimum. , I can't call these one star phones. The nature of wireless is noise. There is always a tradeoff for convenience...
