Rating: Summary: lovely static Review: I am returning these because of the static. The sound quality on the right is fairly good, but the left has so much static that I just can't use them. I'm extremely disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Cheap and good like a 900mhz cordless phone Review: I find these headphones very comfortable, crystal clear sound in the same room and have a decent range - I washed my car out back while listening to the TV through 4 cement walls, pretty good, with some static. I use them to watch TV in the same room while the fiance reads a book, or to play video game without annoying others. Great for my purposes and good price.
Rating: Summary: Great for the price Review: I purchased these through another vendor. I was taking a gamble because I wasn't sure of the brand. I work in an environement where I was always turning around and using wired headphones. Well when you go through 2-3 sets of headphones at $10 a peice you start to think. Well being that at my workplace, they could grow legs one day, I thought I would try this set since it was cheaper. I love them. I can walk all the way around the office at least up to 100' away with a lot of computer monitors and the EMP feilds that they emit and also even go behind a cinder block wall and lose minimal signal.
As for the hiss that people have talked about hearing, what I did was to turn up my output signal from my computer to max in media player and then control the rest with my headset. The only time I get a hiss is when there is nothing playing....but who listens to silence?
As for the cupped earpiece. They are a lifesaver. I have quite a few loud, boisterious and obnoxious people around and it totally blocks out the sound of their quirks, loud laughing, telephone rings(when you are trying to dodge the phone calls). They are great. I would say that they reduce the noise you hear around by about 25-30%. We even had a time when the fire alarms were malfunctioning and going off every 15 miinutes, so I put the syrofoam ear peices in my ear, then put these over them and could barely hear the alarms, then when I turned on my music and turned it up a bit....nothing.
The autotune feature and 2 channel feature is nice. It comes with stereo RCA inputs as well as headphone jack input for both 1/4" and 1/8" and the rechargable abse is great too. And the fact that they are RF is probably the best thing about them.
The only complaint that I had with these at first but now have come accustomed to them is that they were a little uncomfortable. Perhaps it could be to my fat head as I wear a 7 1/2 fitted cap size, but they pushed on the sides of my head. After awhile they started to fit comfortably. I guess I just had to get used to them. The other thing is the size is kinda larger, but it makes a great conversation piece. If you want something to help you focus at work, then these are great for that as they did the job perfectly for here at work. The other item would be the batteries that came with them eventually built up a memory effect(over the course of 1-1.5 years) so I had to buy some new rechargable batteries and haven't had any problem
I wouldn't recommend them for home theater because on loud sounds they can bottom out and not carry some of the sounds but they do have a great Bass range for what they are. They are a durable bakelite/plastic construction and I am very pleased with them. By chance if they get broken or get fried in an electrical storm or they walk off, I would buy another pair for my work environment. They also would make some great headphones for video game playing, but I would look more for a surround sound set for those.
Anyway, feel free to contact me if you want...
I would have given them a 4.5 stars though...
Rating: Summary: Great for the price Review: These headphones are great for the price, like I said above. They are comfortable for long-term use. There is some fuzz in the sound, but that is to be expected with wireless headphones. They also sound pretty good, nowhere near my wired AKG K-401s, but few headphones do and come on, they're wireless, they'll never compete with wired. Overall, a great value, especially considering the price!
