Rating: Summary: It seems like I'm always giving out 3 stars.... Review: Back when I directed the low budget film known by no one, the "Dragon-Fist Connection," I noticed what a chore it was to sneak into work at CNN every night to edit the stupid thing. I wished I had some way to do it at home.
So I bought this machine. And a friend of mine copied some very expensive editing software for me. And I was up and running. It is so powerful that it could edit long films on the volition of outside software and it even has its own simple movie editing devices built in. I'm not big on APPLE, so the only reason I bought this thing was to edit movies. I have since not had enough money to make more films, so I play "The Sims" on it. What a waste.
I am not too proud of it's internet capability, even with a cable modem. Apple has initiated 'window media' into many of its machines, or given them the power to download the software from the internet to keep up with the joneses. If I had my way, I would have a PC, but I DON'T trust other PC's to effectively edit films if they have to. Not with this much power. So, if you want to do anything but surf the net and effectively understand the ABC's of computer fun, buy this machine. It is more designed for hours of hard work and computer geeks anyway, not people who want to have fun. It has frozen on me too many times to give it four stars.
