Summary: Ideal for the office. Great sound, nice features.
Review: . . . You will be pleasantly surprised. I bought them to usewith my computer at work, and for what you pay, these things are aheck of a deal. They fit very comfortably. The inline volume control is very handy at the office. And you can fold them and stash them in a desk drawer with no effort. They're good for both music and games on the computer, and also work well when connected to my jam box. END

Summary: I didn't know what music was...
Review: ...until I discovered these babies. One day I was in town listening to my old but great Sony radio and the pair of cans that came with it just went out. Man, I thought. I didn't even get to hear the end of "Sir Mix A Lot - Baby Got Back." Well, after I recovered from that humongous shock, I noticed that I was beside a Radio Shack - the coolest place in the whole entire world. After telling 3 workers that I was just looking and didn't need help, I found these headphones. They were up on the front counter with a little tag that said they were half price. Well, that was just super-dee-duper, and I went ahead and bought them. Now, I was hoping that these would be pretty good since they had "Titanium" written on the side, and anything that has a big word on the side has to be good, right? Well, I was right.

I had been used to listening to music with the supplied headphones of the player that I bought. I never imagined that it could sound as good as this. I didn't want to say it because you all might not take me very seriously, but, who cares - ... I had never actually bought a good pair of headphones. Even if there are better headphones out there, my friend from school who bought a pair of fifty dollar headphones for his computer said these are better. After listening to his pair, I had to agree.

I have only had a couple of bad experiences with these. They broke after a week or two of use. Now don't go and start looking for a different pair thinking that these are flimsy, because I went right back to radio Shack and got a new pair. I have had this new pair for way over 2 years, and they are still going strong. I suppose that pair was just a bad apple or something. It's not that I couldn't afford to buy a new pair for 2 years - it's that I didn't need to. That is how good these are. The second problem is that they kinda hurt if I wore them for a while. I have glasses, so maybe that was the problem, but after a while, I could wear them without even noticing them. And the final problem is with the volume control. After a while of use, it can start kind of messing with the balance, ie. fading from one ear to the other. This has happened from ever pair of cans I've ever used with a volume control, so it was no biggie. If you leave it on the Max volume, it probably won't mess up. Keep in mind, this fading only happens when you are moving the control, not when it is stationary.

Aside from these very minor gripes, this is the best pair of headphones I have ever used. And I will keep on using them, just not as frequently, because I'm investing a large sum of money on the Sony MDR-EX70LP earbuds. I have gotten to like the convenience of having a pair of headphones in my pocket at school, and being able to unwind them and listen to them whenever. Please, consider these, because I assure you that they will provide you with probably 2 years or more of listening joy. ...

Summary: Not Good Not Bad
Review: fair price for the result, i am not really dissapointed. I think what i didn't like is that they are low on bass, and very high on treble. But it doesn't mean you can not enjoy listening to music with these headphones, unless you need a high bass frequency. Ok for an every day use.

Summary: Great sound, price
Review: Great full range sound, comfortable headband, good design, low distortion, high efficiency. What more do you want? A volume control? You got it.

Summary: Amazing bass and quality for the price
Review: I already had 4 pairs of these...
this headphone is the cheapest of PortaPro family, and the sound is excellent, clean, deep bass; high sensitivity, even I can get satisfactory sound level from single-battery walkman
the reason why I give 4 stars is, the cable is easily broken, and the length is 1.5m, sometimes the cable tangle my feet when I am down on knee, and when I stand up when I don't undo the cable, the cable breaks, and I have repair myself, after that, I lost volume control and the length is reduced to 1m
there's new version comes out, which is KTX-PRO1, which uses plastic headband instead
if you prefer a standard headphone for about 20 bucks, this one is a must buy, you shall not regret for the sound

Summary: Best bang for your buck
Review: I believe this is pretty much the best headphone out there for the 20$ price range. while this is the best headphone at its price range, if you are playing extremely strong bass, it will start 'scratching', this is not very noticeable but it would be better if it was different. the overall sound is very nice and compares rather well with the higher price headphones. if you do end up breaking this item koss's lifetime warranty will cover it so no need to buy headphones again and again.

Summary: Disappointed and Feeling Ripped Off
Review: I bought these headphones based on the first couple of reviews I read here. I should have read further, because about two weeks after I purchased the earphones, the left side went out completely. There was nothing obvious on the outside of the unit and I didn't hear any "rattling" as described by other users. The darn things just quit! I must say, however, that the sound quality for those first two weeks was excellent, but all in all, not worth the money and frustration.

Summary: Excellent sound, low price, but a bit uncomfortable
Review: I bought these headphones with low expectations assuming that just because of their low price. Once I plugged them into my computer, played some mp3's - WOW! I was amazed at their sound - very clear, full, not distorted until I turned the volume fairly high.

Funny how I when I wanted co-workers to listen to things on my computer, I would put the headphones on my desk and turn the volume up. They could hear it almost as if it were a normal speaker, with little distortion. Over time they began to wear down, and now have a little rattle at high volumes, so *dont* do that!

One of the features that I love about the headphones is the separate volume control. Before my soundcard would never let me turn down the volume low enough, but now I just move the little slider to adjust the volume. Also, the cord is quite short. I can only plug in the headphones at the rear of my computer on the floor, and sit about 1 foot away from my desk. I suppose a cord extension would help though. Another minor negative is that they are uncomfortable after listening for longer than about 30 minutes. They fit rather tightly around my head even though I have them adjusted properly.

Overall, I am quite impressed! They are a great value, and hold their quality providing that you do not turn them up extremely loud.
