Rating: Summary: Excellent Value Review: I bought these to replace my malfunctioning (butStereophile-recommended) $35 Sony headphones, and I was hoping theymight sound as good. As it turns out, they are much better that myold Sonys, and compare reasonably well with my $100 reference phones. Mid through upper bass is strong but not overpowering, midrange neutral and treble rolled off only at the very top. The overall sound is warm, which is a welcome relief from the thin-sounding headphones you usually find at this price point. Comfort level is good, better than expected given the cost-conscious design.
Rating: Summary: What you'd expect for the price Review: I bought these to use for private keyboard playing. They didn't disappoint me for the price I paid. They were fairly adjustable, and were comfortable too. I also used them for computer gaming as they work well for 3D sound effects. The volume control works well too. Then one day, I tripped over the cord and the wire ripped right out of the volume control box. Ok, so maybe I tripped over it kind of hard. But if you are a little clumsy like me, take care of these; they aren't the sturdiest headphones you'll ever see. lol
Rating: Summary: Really Good for the price Review: I got these headphones for their price, I wasn't expecting so much, but i am amazed of the sound quality they have, a clear sound on all frequencies. You really can enjoy all kinds of music with these headphones.
Rating: Summary: The Headphone to compare all others to. Review: I have searched and searched and searched for a pair of portable headphones that sound as good as these with lots of failure. IMO, you cannot beat the sound of a set of "over-the-head" headphones. I have tried all styles: earbuds, behind the neck, clips, even the ear plugs. Nothing gives the sound and comfort of the KTX Pros (granted, I have never tried the sportapros or portapros, but from what I have read, they are the same headphone. Except they are UGLY!). The KTX Pros have both great lows and great highs. Plus, you can't beat that price.
Rating: Summary: Great HeadPhones Review: I needed a replacement for my Sony walkman and saw these on Amazon. Believe me these are the best headphones that I have ever purchased. The sound that you get is like being in a concert hall.
Rating: Summary: KTXPro Headphones Are An Excellent Value Review: I recently purchased a Sony portable CD player and was surprised how bad the headphones were that came with the player. Most CD portables are fairly low powered and don't have the power output required to drive many of the headphones available on the market to high volume levels and still acheive good quality sound. The result is usually muddy and maybe even slightly distorted, especially if the music being listened to contains heavy bass. Not with the KTXPro phones. I was impressed with the clarity and volume levels that they can produce with just a portable CD player that runs on two AA batteries. The bass response of these phones is quite good, and I have found that only a slight bass boost or maybe none at all yields pretty balanced sound. They are probably the best twenty dollar headphones I have ever heard.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Headphones Review: I recently purchased these headphones to replace the Sony headphones that came with my discman. The sound on these headphones is truly excellent. The bass is strong but not overpowering, and the overall sound is very warm and clear. I actually purchased the Sennheiser HD56 headphones as well, and the KTXPro headphones have superior sound. They are also very comfortable, and can be worn for long periods of time. With most other headphones, I need to use the maximum bass boost on my discman, but with the KTXPros, I use the middle range, and it sounds perfect. For ..., you can't go wrong with this set of headphones.
Rating: Summary: Fits my fat head... Review: I stretched them till they fit comfortably on my wide head. They sound great to my ear and I use them alot!
Rating: Summary: Excellent sound quality! Review: I'm not an audiophile, but this pair of headphones deliver clear, crisp trebles and mids and strong, well-defined bass. The volume control is very convenient, especially when I do not have convenient access to the volume control say in the school computer labs. The head band is a tad too tight though (though it grips nicely), and after one year of use, the plastic around the band broke. Nevertheless I will still buy another from Koss again. They make great sound!
Rating: Summary: big and uncomfortable Review: I'm probably going to try to return these - they are dorky big and when I put them on the ear pads seem to point the wrong way, really uncomfortable. I wanted a nice portable set for my MP3 player (which supposedly came with inferior 'phones) but these really aren't, the ear bits are about 2" x 4" and they don't fold up very compactly.
