Rating: Summary: Could Be Better Review: A decent pair of headphones that at least matches (in Apple white) the iPod's color(less) scheme. However if looks are not your primary consideration in choosing headphones for your iPod, you should probably look elsewhere. The cord is way too long and the remote (though nifty) adds even more length, sound quality is only average for the price.
Rating: Summary: Deeply Annoying Review: Although I was pleased to find that Apple finally got wise to the need for an inline remote for the iPod, this product takes the iPod's general style-over-utility design imperative to a new extreme. The remote's shape is undeniably attractive (and the buttons relatively sensibly laid out), but the clip on the back is long and thin as a result of this design choice. It clips easily to a t-shirt or button-down, but you'll struggle to get it to stay attached to anything thicker (like a winter jacket or coat, such as we are given to wear in the sometimes-chilly northeast). Assuming you can find somewhere on your jacket to clip it to, it will inevitably dislodge - and when it does, the remote weighs enough to yank the earbuds right out of your ears, which can be pretty unpleasant. The stick-shaped remotes found on Sony MD and CD players are much easier to secure to jacket lapels, backpack shoulder straps, etc. Apple would have fared better with a similar design. The earbuds themselves sound marginally better than their predecessors (which is to say still pretty lousy). But because they're a little smaller, they don't sit as well in my ears, such that they're given to falling out at the slightest provocation (even when the remote miraculously manages to stay clipped to my jacket). Recommended only for small-eared people living close to the equator.
Rating: Summary: Works great for me Review: For me this has been an iPod essential. I use the remote always.
The remote has been so handy. I can easily access the volume, which I'm always adjusting in seems, depending on the track playing. I can skip tracks, rewind, pause, and turn the iPod on and off.
I can have my iPod in my messenger bag and clip the remote on the strap. Or have my iPod in my jeans pocket and clip the remote to my coat. The hold switch on my iPod is on, of course, so that no buttons are accidentally pressed on the iPod itself.
I've used my current remote for over a year and have never had any problems. It still works perfectly. Then again, I take care of it. Just reasonable care that it not get crushed, wet, or broken.
The design is stunning. Simple and impressive. Looks very sleek and nice. A very attractive remote... shows the world you listen with style.
Rating: Summary: Remote Good; Earphones OK Review: Great remote, with easy to use controls. Clips fine to my sweats that I wear while running in cold weather. Earphones are OK ... about as good as earbud-style headphones get ... I just don't like earbuds at all. So my rating is based primarily on the remote.
Rating: Summary: Best Investment For iPod Review: I bought this about 2 months after I bought my 10GB iPod. I thought it would be nice, but nothing big. I was wrong. It totally changed my iPod experience. You don't know how much the ability to play/pause, skip/repeat songs, and adjust the volume without having to touch your iPod is really like until you try it. Of the three main accessories, the dock, wired remote, and carrying case, this is the best one by far. If you own an iPod that doesn't already come with this than add this to your cart right away. You won't regret it!

Rating: Summary: iPod Remote sucks Review: I have owned my Ipod for 18 months. It is the fantastic, but I am now on my 3rd remote which is not so fantastic. No matter how careful I am about twisting the wires,it seems that after a period of time they loose connection with the Ipod. I also do not like the fact that Apple bundles the earphones with the remote. I am forced to buy new earphones just to get the remote.
Rating: Summary: World's longest cord Review: I love my iPod, and I love the remote: it makes it very handy to adjust the volume or change the song without having to remove the iPod from my backpack. However, as others have mentioned, the clip can be difficult to attach onto anything bulky. And just try and clip it onto something without locking the buttons first--you never know what you'll be listening to afterwards! What I dislike the most, however, is the length of the cord. It is nearly seven feet long, from the earphones to the iPod connector. What's up with that? Generally when you're wearing earphones, isn't the item attached to you, or in incredibly close proximity? Or is this just designed for really tall people? Regardless, the cord could definitely be shorter.
Rating: Summary: Poorly made! Review: I really don't recommend this remote. If you have to have the convenience of using the remote and don't mind spending $80 - $120 for continually replacing the poorly made device. Then go ahead. It's been 4 months for me, and I have to buy a new one. First, 2 months ago, the little switch broke off. Then after learning never to lock the remote, the cord slowly starts to tear from the base where it connects into the ipod. Ok. Then finally after just ignore the little kinks, it starts to send little electrically sparks from the headphones into my ear. I've had enough and now I have to go about purchasing a new one. So don't recommend, unless you like spending money on the same product over, and over, and over again!
Rating: Summary: Perfect for people who don't actually want a good remote Review: Love the iPod. hate the remote.
after 2 years, mine finally broke for good. It had a habit of splitting open for some reason.
My complaint is the general design - that clip.. it barely works unless you are clipping it to thin material. After 2 years of trying to get it to stay on my bag's strap or my jacket lapel, I am frustrated.
I am surprised that no one has produced a better version of it.
