Summary: Bargain priced headphone with quality sound
Review: My friend had a Sennheiser headphones, and I remember it being pretty awesome; but it cost him over [$$$]. This one is half the price, and nearly as good as his. Being a college student, I need a effective headphone to block out the background noise, thanks to an annoying roommate- and it delivers. He'd be talking nonstop without me ever realizing it. The sound quality is not the best, compared to high ends like Bose, nor 100% noise cancelling- whenever the speakers are blaring, or people are getting drunk, the background noise penetrates, but not to the degree where you cannot listen to the music. You can hear the noise, but headphones kills it at least half of it. If the cord was not too long, I would give it 6 stars- go buy it.

Summary: not high quality
Review: Ok, first of all don't judge the sound of these headphones right out of the box. Like premium speakers, they must be burned in, in order for them to sound good. When I bought these, I listened to them out of the box and, yes, they did sound sub-par. So, I left them connected to my receiver for one night and tried them again. As predicted, they sounded awesome! They handle everything from Paganini to DJ Dieselboy (lots and lots of bass) to Portishead (Techno/Acid Jazz). I watched Minority Report on DVD last night, and I was shocked at how clear and crisp everything was. These headphones are so light you literally forget that you're wearing them. My ears are slightly larger than normal, but these haven't given me any problems. I think these are the most comfortable cans I've ever owned! And for [the price], how can you go wrong?

Summary: Great headphones for use at work
Review: The ambient noise attenuation helps reduce the background noise when used in an office environment.

The sound quality is excellent, with great bass for headphones.

They are comfortable enough to be worn for long periods.

Summary: Expected more
Review: There are two major problems and one minor problem with these headphones that keep me from recommending them.

First, the quality of the sound is only mediocre. They are "bright," meaning they accentuate the higher frequencies instead of presenting a neutral sound. In addition, the bass is less "punchy" than it should be, as another reviewer put it. (I compared them to my Yamaha YST-MS50 speakers.)

Second, the design is flimsy. I owned a pair of Sony headphones that were slightly cheaper than these, yet more solidly constructed. There is a particular weakness at the point where the earcups connect to the headband.

Finally, these are more comfortable than most headphones, but if you have a large head, they will squeeze inward to produce a slight ache around your ears.

Only if the design was more solid and the sound was neutral could I recommend these headphones.

Summary: Beautiful Sound, Extremely Comfortable
Review: These headphones are amazing! They offer amazing sound quality, and particually strong, clear bass notes. Rap enthusiasts will love these, but trust me, they are for anyone who loves music! I have owned many headphones, and these are far and away the most comfortable that have ever graced my head. After a few hours, they begin to head your ears up slightly, but it's negligable. Truly an amazing bargain.
However, you should be aware of two things: one, they look a lot tackier out-of-the-box than they do on Amazon.com, but looks aren't important; it's the sound that counts. And two, it's VERY important to burn them in: plug them into your stereo or computer and turn on the CD or radio, letting it run for 10 hours or so. You may be deceived by the rather muddy sound straight out of the box, but once they are burned in, they're golden.

Summary: light and comfortable
Review: these puppies are light and comfortable at a decent price. the eh2200's can reproduce the highs fairly well, but bass is noticably flat compared to say the ...sonys(but they are way more comfortable). worth the price but bass-loving hip-hop listeners should look elsewhere.

Summary: Good sound, poor construction
Review: These were the first "quality" headphones I ever purchased and I loved them for a couple months - they're light, comfortable, and the sound is a huge step up if you've been using $20 headphones.

HOWEVER, the "10-foot detachable, Kevlar-reinforced OFC cable" was the worst idea they could have implemented in the design of these headphones. I used them at work, sitting at my desk, not moving around very much; however, after a few months the jack lost its tight fit and began to slip out. When this happens, the sound cuts out of one of the speakers. I replaced the cable with one from Radio Shack, but that one eventually came loose as well.

It's a shame - these headphones sound good, but that detachable cable is a major design flaw.

Summary: The Most Comfortable Headphones I've Ever Owned
Review: Yes, these headphones SOUND good. It's Sennheiser! Of course it will sound good. What's important about these things, however, is that they are incredibly light and incredibly comfortable. I never realized how comfortable they were until I started using a different headphone and found my ears worn red after only an hour or two of use. This is especially a problem since I wear glasses, and the combination of glasses around my ears and headphones on my ears can be VERY annoying. I have no problem wearing these headphones for several hours at a time, even with my glasses on. If you use headphones a lot, you want headphones that sound good and feel good. That's the 2200!
