Summary: Awesome headphones
Review: Especially with VMSS turned to max, this thing rocks. The sound is really clear and the bass is strong. I really can't tell the difference between Min and Max VMSS, but they seem to drain the battery at about the same rate anyway.

Also, I would definately agree with the other reviewer. The overall cord is way too long. The VMSS controller is also too close to the headset. I usually don't clip it on, or if I do, just onto my shirt sleeve.

They sound awesome, they're really lightweight (I was surprised), and they're really comfortable. They feel well-built, like they'll last a long time. If you're in the market for good headphones, you should consider this pair.

Summary: Supreme Sound
Review: I purchased this headphone set with the specific intent of using them for 3D sound gaming. The VMSS system excels at creating a directional sound in games, you can hear from almost any direction, it's only limitations are from your sound card. I have a Game Blaster Live sound card and I hook the headphones into the jack on my Yamaha speakers & still get the full 3D sound that I would get from a 5.1 speaker system. Then I wanted to transfer my cassette tapes to CD-R's and was highly impressed by the full range of sound from these headphones, it's best to turn off the VMSS system with the handy slider control when listening to music only. If I had an unlimited amount of money to spend on a set of headphones, I would still buy this product.

Summary: I like it..
Review: The VMSS thingy provides very good bass, as if you're using a subwoofer. The range is very wide and the sound reproduction is good at most ranges, but less in the mid range. The overall quality is very good, and the headphones are excellent for home theatre entertainment systems.

The VMSS function pretty much drains that one AA battery it uses, and it gets a little bothering from time to time.

Also the cord is 5 meters in length, too long in my opinion, but that should be a plus.

They are quite comfertable to wear, but could be better.

All in all, this is a great buy. The best panasonic cans out there.

Summary: ATTENTION COUNTER-STRIKE PLAYERS (and COMPUTER GAMERS alike)
Review: THESE ARE "THE" HEADPHONES FOR YOU:

The VMSS makes the sound much more realistic, and in turn it will improves your sound responsiveness. Since your sound response in higher, your overall ability to play should increase if you use sound right. Since you feel the firing of you gun, you will be able to count the number of bullets better; this will allow better aiming due to less recoil. Sound is vital, and these headphones make sound in counter-strike even better. By using two senses for sound, it increases mental resources. It has excellent sound and fits nicely...P>I highly recommend these headphones!!!

Summary: Best Gaming Headphones on the market!
Review: These headphones are great. You will not be disappointed. They sound great with music, but play games and turn on the VMSS and it will take your games to a whole new level. Much recommended.

Summary: good idea but has some design issues
Review: These headphones sound great and the VMSS is pretty cool but its design could be better. First of all, the VMSS control and battery pack is poorly placed. Even though it has a clip to allow you to clip to your clothing I found that the cord between the headphone and battery pack is kinda too short to allow you to clip to a good spot so most of the time I just leave it hanging, which results in another problem. With the battery inserted, the battery pack is kinda heavy so dangling the control gets very annoying because if you move around the battery pack tend to swing back and forth etc. and can get banged around. I wished they had built in the battery pack into the headphone itself or have it located next to the plug. I've already managed to put a crack in the battery cover because it came off one time, due to me moving around and the battery pack banged against something, and I stepped on it because I didn't notice it came off. Also, the cord is very long, which can be good but if you make a product with a cord that long you should built in some sort of cord management feature. I almost broke the headphones because there was a pile of cord next to my chair and somehow it got tangled with the chair and when I moved my head I almost broke off the cord where it enters the headphone.

So, in conclusion, it sounds pretty good and if you can tolerate its design inadequacies then its a good buy but for me if I had to do it again I probably would have bought something else.
