Summary: Great case for just about any PDA out there
Review: Don't the name of this product fool you...it works with just about any PDA out there.

The RhinoPak is a wonderful carrying case, especially if you have a lot of add-ons for your PDA. I use it to carry an iPAQ, a Targus folding keyboard and adapter unit, a CF ethernet adapter and a FlashPath floppy disk adapter. All of that in a case that is just a little larger than a medium length paperback novel.

The main compartment is well padded and allows you to secure the PDA with either velcro or with the elastic corners sewn in. The opposite side of the main compartment contains a mesh pocket that wil hold everything else. The front cover contains a zippered pocket flap, which covers another mesh pocket and the back cover has a zippered pocket that runs the length of the unit. This is definitely made for the PDA packrat.

In short, if you have a lot of other devices, cards, accessories for any PDA, look into this.

Summary: Great for larger handhelds
Review: I just bought a Diamond Mako PDA and I found myself in need of a case as I am the kinda guy who likes his things to stay nice and protected. As I began looking I found this one, the body glove case, and a Targus leather wallet. What attracted me was the price and so I began reading reviews and I found that people dont seem to like this case. This case does fall short for some who own smaller PDAs like the Palm, Visor, Jornada, etc. Since I decided to go with the slightly longer (or wider, however you look at it) PDA this case seemed like the logical and economical choice for me. When I got my case and put my Mako inside I found it to fit in the elastic straps almost perfectly, there being a little room for a slightly larger device. The Rhinopack 2000 has plenty of extra room, almost too much where the PDA might still fall out of the elastic straps, but with a 3x5 notepad it fills it up just nicely. This also brings me to the point about other people having their palms or other PDA coming loose from the straps and falling to the ground. I can certainly see it coming loose from the elastic, but what kinda idiot lets it fall out of the case. Im sorry, but it sounds like someone is opening their case and holding the opening towards the ground. Duh, what do you think is gonna happen? These must be the same people who shake and almost empty box of cereal and then open it up and pour the crumbs into their eyes when they are looking inside. Ok, the bottom line is that if you have a Diamond Mako, Psion handheld, or possibly HP Jornada 720 then this might be the case for you. At least take a look at the pictures and technical specs. Otherwise if you have a Palm or other small handheld then you probably ought to look elsewhere, unless you have a plug in modem, digital cam, or other device that increases the length of your device. I give this 4 stars because its a little bulky, but not too bad because it fits nicely in my backpack and the folded down armrest in my truck. Also I have not complaints on the craftsmanship as it seems well made and sturdy. Thank you for having a look at my opinion, have a good one.

Summary: Useful, but maybe not worth the price
Review: I received one of these cases as a corporate gift, emblazoned with an embroidered logo. Overall, the case is useful, but not necessarily in a standalone fashion.

I carry an iPaq Pocket PC with a PC Card sleeve along with a Targus collapsible keyboard, held in place with the elastic straps. The straps themselves seem to be rather cheap, and appear that after being stretched for a long period, they might lose the elasticity (they already seem stretched out when I take stuff out). In the other pockets, I stash a pair of Cisco 802.11 network cards, a CF to PCMCIA adapter, a couple pens, and some business cards. All this gets thrown into my briefcase/laptop bag, sans the useless shoulder strap. Everything is kept together so it doesn't rattle around and I can get at stuff very quickly. Plus, since I use a sleeve on the iPaq, this is the only way the screen stays protected.

Initially, I don't know if I would have personally spent money on this item, but it is useful. The new price seems a bit steep for its level of usefulness, but all-in-all, if you can get a good deal on it, worth it in the end.
