Summary: Weak clip breaks easily!
Review: Belt clip is weak and broke after I had it for only 1.5 months! Clip spring is so weak, that sometimes it falls off my belt! This is a very poor product from a company that we've come to expect to be an innovator.

Summary: Inferior Product
Review: For twenty bucks one would think that Handspring would have tested this product extensively to ensure that it actually worked well. However, due to the pour design of the piece of plastic that hooks on to your belt and the very week spring, the belt clip case is useless. Moreover, after falling once (while I was sitting -- so only about 2 1/2 ft to the floor) the spring and clip completely detached. I was able to use the product for about 6 days total. Great concept -- bad product, Handspring should look to Motorola's Cell Phone holders for a better design!

Summary: No problems here
Review: I bought my belt clip one month ago, I work as a computer hardware technician and climb under desks. The case stays firmly on my belt and it doesnt slide. In the car I never have a problem either of it sliding off so far as i wear my coat on top of it. So to date I havent had any problems. As far as it matching my blue visor deluxe who cares..it stays snug in the case and thats all that matters to me.

Summary: Fragile, but the best option out there.
Review: I was excited to purchase the Belt Clip case for my Handspring Visor and, at first, thought that it lived up to all of my expectations. On the bright side, my Visor was easily accessible and became worlds more useful than it had been when I was storing it in a zip-up neoprene pouch in my bag, coat or back pocket.

The trouble all started when I first got into my car with it. Everytime I would remove my seat belt it would catch on the Visor, running up between the Visor and my belt. The hinged belt clip, which slides down onto the belt allowing for easy removal also creates a weak point in the design. The first time the seat belt caught my Visor it flipped the poor PDA still in it's loyal (but weak) Belt Clip off of my belt and dropped it onto a concrete floor. Ouch! Remarkably both PDA and belt clip were fairly unscathed. Although, from that point on, I would always attempt to remove the case from my belt when I got into my car (a nuissance, but ok), there were times when I would forget. I had the case less than two weeks when the seat belt grabbed the case and held onto it as my belt and I exited the car, breaking the hinge pins on the case.

This story is truly tragic, I know, but the relevant point is that if you plan to wear this full time and not just in the office you might want to look for a more durable belt clip. Caveat Emptor, I guess.

Summary: Almost a great design
Review: I was so pleased with this case for the first several days. It's so much more handy than the lid that comes with the visor. Unfortunately, I had the same problem so many other have had -- the belt clip broke off. The case itself is solid, but the hinge is sadly flimsy. I fixed mine by drilling a hole through the hinge and putting a paper clip through it (typical nerd thing to do), but I think the plastic around that is giving out, too.

My only other (minor) complaint is that, when I don't have the case clipped to my belt, I have to hold it because the visor won't go into it backwards to expose the face. That would have been a simple and helpful design improvement.

Summary: Almost causes more harm than good
Review: Perhaps I'm spoiled by having had a spif leather case with a detachable belt hook for my Palm VII, but this overpriced belt clip is embarassing.

Fortunately, I don't use it very often. It is so tight fitting, that it is difficult to remove the Handspring without removing the holster from your belt. Even worse, it is wearing grooves into the side of my Handspring.

It is difficult to envision this ...plastic device lasting for very long. It is better than nothing, but that isn't saying much.

Summary: Screen faces out; clip WAY too fragile
Review: This is a good idea. However, it is poorly executed. The first problem is that the case only allows you to put the PDA into it with the screen facing out. This is a great way to put scratches on your screen. The second problem is the rigid but flimsy clip. I think I broke this clip within 2 hours of placing it on my person. My hack fix was to scavange a cheap leather cell phone case for it's leather-covered metal belt clip. I cut this out of the cell phone case and attached it to the case with epoxy. This design functioned well but failed to address the exposed screen issue so I stopped using it. However, it DID solve the belt clip issue quite nicely.

Summary: So far so good...........
Review: Unlike the people who have previously rated this item, my belt clip did not break on me(yet, knock on wood). I purchased this belt clip the same time that I purchased my Visor Platinum, as I am getting ready to purchase my VisorPhone soon. This VisorClip is very handy with my MiniJam, as I can slip my Visor in there with the MiniJam loaded, and I can listen to music for a couple of hours.

The one reason I did not rate the VisorClip with 5 stars is because the belt clip is not the best of quality. You would expect more from a company that makes the Handspring, as the quality is similar to a Chinese/Taiwan made knock-off.

I'm hoping Handspring will realize that their belt-clip is very flimsy(I'm very afraid of it breaking off) while I'm riding my moped, etc.
