Summary: Good for fun.
Review: Don't expect too much from the camera and enjoy!
It have some serios disadvantages:
1. The pictures blured near the sides of pictures.
2. Digital zoom is just joke. The Palmpix takes a part of 640x480 image and extend it to 320x240 image.
3. To make good indoor picture you MUST have a good light.
4. Image trasfer from PalmPix to Palm takes time.
5. Also images transfer from Palm to PC is time consuming process.

But I think it is good add-on to unexpensive Palm. You don't have to carry several devices and make your Palm like simple photo-camera.

Summary: It doesn't work with Palm m105
Review: I read information in Kodak's page. They say PalmPix for m100 is compatible with Palm m105. I bought a PalmPix for my Palm m105, but it didn't work. Then I tested it in a friend's Palm m100 and it worked.

Summary: It worked with my Palm m105
Review: I recently entered the Handheld world (a Palm m105) and thought buying the camera would be an inexpensive way to take digital pictures. I read reviews stating that the camera would not work with the m105, but after much trepidation, decided to buy it anyway.

I run a Mac operating system, and the camera works well on it. I had some problems finding the pictures on my hard drive, but I called the (800) number for Kodak, and a representitive assisted me in finding my photos.

As far as the quality of photos, I bought it to take pictures of my wife and children to e-mail to the grandparents. It works great for that. It is easy to use, although sometimes the pictures are blurry. I don't expect to win any photo contests with it, but that's not what I bought it for.

Summary: Don't be confused like me.
Review: If you are limited in your Palm expertise, then don't be confused like me. I assumed since this camera was for the Palm 100 series that it would connect to a Palm m130. It does not. The units have different pin connection systems and there are no adapters that I could find. Otherwise the unit appeared neat, though I did not get to use it.

Summary: THEY MUST BE UTTERLY MAD
Review: Sorry, I think this may not count as I haven't been anywhere near this item... but just reading the specs... <shakes head sadly>... and the price! This is the Lada of digital cameras (or if you want an american-centric description, the yugo. no, wait, at least yugos have economy in their favour..)!

"Palmpix for m100" for [price]. Takes 640x480 pictures, stores them in the pilot itself (2mb total memory, of which you may have a max of 1.5mb spare if you have NOTHING but addresses/appointments and the photo software), and uses the fairly slow hotsync serial connection for transfer. And it can show the photos on the m100 screen as previews. Oh joy. Have you ever *tried* transferring pictures for viewing to an m100? I have. It works, but it's nothing more than "servicable" even in the best lighting conditions. Maybe 7 or 8 of the 16 greys are murkily discernable.. etc. In short, "bleah" it [stinks]. Though, I concede, better than no preview/view at all.. just..

Or... happy-crappy [price]plain digital camera. Takes 640x480 pictures or maybe even higher, has *at least* 2mb dedicated memory and almost certainly an expansion slot, and who knows, maybe even a USB connection. (if i wanted to be adventurous i'd suggest a colour LCD as well, but [price]is only [price]). Doesn't sap your palm's batteries, and is a separate unit, barely larger than the apparent size of the palmpix itself, so you don't have to take the pilot everywhere you want to take pictures. Beach holiday? Sand in the pilot? Argh!
And oh! No flash!

Maybe go up just a little step. [price]should see you with a fairly decent camera with flash, maybe a 1024x768 res, card slot, maaaaybe even with an LCD if you shop around well. Be smart!

(or down to [price]for one of those discount-store pencil-cams with 640x480 res, 8mb memory, continuous shot mode.. the camera you can keep in your wallet)

Summary: Big Disappointment in a Small Package
Review: This device is touted as compatible with the m105 Palm device...but it isn't. When attached, I get nothing but a blank screen and a low-battery indicator. A little jiggling around and there's almost a picture -- but no!

I bought this thinking that an earlier buyer with a similar problem must have made some silly mistake. Because Kodak says this will work with the m105 on their website!

Well. I'll be believing my fellow buyers a little more in the future.

This purchase is a huge disappointment. I put a lot of thought into making it and decided to take the leap. Too bad I didn't have better information about the product.

I hope other potential buyers will be aware enough to avoid my mistake.

Summary: Neat Little Gadget
Review: This is just a cool little gadget to have for your palm.

ATTN M105 Users or Any users with problems.
Here's some help though if your having problems:
I had problems at first but what you need to do is backup all your information. Then do a HARD RESET: AFter that Don't re-load anything back onto your palm EXCEPT the PalmPix Program (goto the program files folder and then delete all the .prc files so they won't go back on or just move them for now) Then re-load the other programs, this is what I had to do and have since had NO problems.
