Rating: Summary: Great protection for PDAs Review: I dropped my first PDA (Palm III) and cracked the glass. Cost to fix: ($$$)Bought a PlamGlove the first time I saw one and have dropped my Visor PDA once onto a concrete floor w/no damage. Don't do that deliberately, but with a well-padded acse you can relax about tossing it into a briefcase and bouncing it around a bit. Cheap insurance; good design with an elasticized stylus holder and a place for business cards. Adds a bit of bulk but that's not a problem unless you insist on carrying your PDA in the hip pocket of your tight jeans.
Rating: Summary: Great Product ! Buy Two! Review: I've had it for 2 1/2 years and have dropped my Palm IIIxe numerous times in various conditions (wet, dirty, muddy). It's like a timex, "takes a lickin & keeps on tickin". I've dropped it so many times that I've knocked the teeth out on the top corner zipper and now the zipper gets off track or hangs up, my palm is still in great shape due to the protection this case has given it. I'm looking for another one and since it's a discontinued item, will probably buy two. Inside storage is good, it holds all I need to operate daily (credit cards, license, business cards & cash). It would be a dynamite gift for someone you know that uses their PDA in alot of different conditions or just needs a great case!
Rating: Summary: We all need to understand one thing... Review: We all need to understand one thing. ANY piece of electronic equipment can be damaged whether it is dropped from 2 inches, 2 feet or 2 miles! It's made of pieces of plastic, metal, wires and other things that can get damaged from even the smallest impact. It breaks because of the SHOCK from the IMPACT. If we all want something that will protect our Palms from impact damage, then the size of the case should be about 6 or 7 times larger, thicker, heavier and padded than this case by Body Glove. Body Glove does a good job protecting the Palm against most small bumps. It is not meant for people to drop their Palms from a table, whether it lands flat or on it's corner. If you want that kind of protection, you'll need a briefcase with the Palm bound in bubble-wrap. This product is good for small bumps that would normally cause cosmetic scratches. It is great for weather resistance. If you drop your Palm, for whatever reason (your fault or not), don't blame the manufacturer for faulty construction. Instead, you might need to be an adult and step to the plate to accept the responsibility of your own actions. GOOD JOB BODY GLOVE!
