Summary: I am feeling much love for my new keyboard!
Review: A bit of a pain to snap it in, and it's the same size as my Visor, but having a keyboard for my PDA has transformed it from something gathering dust in a corner to something I actually take to meetings!!

Summary: A must if you own a Pocket PC
Review: I paid [$] for the Targus Keyboard almost a year ago and it was worth every penny. I take my Pocket PC to class with me and type my notes. It is great to have a PC and keyboard small enough to fit in your purse. The keyboard is sturdy, easy to use, and slightly smaller than a regular sized keyboard. Do not wait to purchase your keyboard. Purchase it the same time you buy your Pocket PC and it will make your electronic transition much smoother. You will be able to enter in all of your contacts, appointment, and other data, without having to do it with the stylus or waiting to sync it to your personal computer. Buy it now!

Summary: Great accessory for the iPAQ with one small flaw
Review: The Targus folding keyboard (they make one for just about every PDA on the market) is a must have addition for anyone who will do even moderate data entry on a PDA.

The keyboard itself is fantastic. When folded, it takes up about the same space as your iPAQ and weighs a bit less. When unfolded, it is just a wonderful feeling keyboard. The keys are nice and large, the layout is just like a normal desktop keyboard, and the key travel feels like most laptops. Touch typists and hunt/peck people should have no trouble adapting to this.

So why only give it 4 stars? Because I own a 3835 and the the 3800 and 3900 series iPAQs changed the connector on the bottom of the unit. Targus, instead of making two different keyboards, decided to make an adapter for the 3800+ iPAQs. The adapter is a 1.5" long thingy that is just begging to be lost. So, it drops a star for that. On the other hand, Targus has an extremely nice customer service department that shipped me three extra adapters at no charge.

In short, if you use your PDA for just about anything, get this keyboard. You won't regret it!

Summary: Solid Product
Review: The keyboard has a solid feel to it - like typing with a laptop -and its light and small enough to carry around. I don't think it would fit in a trouser pocket as some reviewers have suggested but it won't take up too much room in a bag. The support for the PDA feels a little flimsy and the software supplied on the CD didn't work. I had to download a more recent version from Targus' website which didn't prove a major chore.

Summary: I use it every day.
Review: This keyboard has simplified data entry and sped up the process as well. It feels pretty much like a normal keyboard and it opens and folds easily with a little practice. It is highly recommended.

Summary: Makes the Visor Usable
Review: Before buying this keyboard entering information on the visor was so slow that i never used it, but now I am able to use it all the time.

Summary: Nicely designed Targus!
Review: If you need one you can't go wrong with the Targus keyboard. Very small footprint when folded. It isn't much larger than my Visor in it's soft case. Very easy to type on. I bought it on sale with a rebate. The total cost was [a small amount]!

Summary: Brilliant - a must have for writing or data entry
Review: If you use your Handspring as a portable computer and not as a PDA, this keyboard is essential. While I've gotten fairly adept at graffiti, even the clumsiest hunt-and-peck typer would be faster with this keyboard. Since I use my Handspring mostly to enter data, this is a godsend.

A few negative notes: first, your handheld is no longer handheld with this keyboard. You have to work at a table or desk. It is small enough to use on an airplane comfortably, though. Second, I wish there were a number pad, but I understand this would make the keyboard larger. Still, everyone who sees my keyboard (and there is still a considerable coolness factor to the thing) says, "Wouldn't it be nice if there were a number pad? Third, the '1' key is half the size of the rest of keys for reasons I can't understand. My finger often misses the key when I try to type it. These are mostly small issues, though. Overall, I love the keyboard.

Summary: Great, but...
Review: The only thing lacking in this wonderful product is the inability to select line items in lists for editing (ie: from the Memo Pad menu). Maybe I just haven't figured it out yet, but if you CAN do it, I still rate it a 4 because there is nothing in the pathetic documentation that describes how to do it.

Had a hard time getting the thing to work. Targus' Customer Service, however, was incredibly superior to other Handspring products I have bought. They told me about a little bug and a quick fix, and I was typing right away. THAT'S service. Though always leery about the prices associated with Targus brand products, they have created a customer who will definitely consider them first for products.
