Summary: Useless for MAC
Review: I bought this as an alternative to the expensive PalmConnect adapter, for my Vx. The driver works with System 8.6, very shaky with OS.9, extension conflicts in OS.9.2.2, and it doesn't support OS.X.
The support is none existing.

Summary: No XP drivers! USELESS!
Review: I can use the 2000 drivers but it crashes windows XP pro randomly. Not to mention seems to slow windows down trying to use it. When is this company going to get drivers for XP? if they do maybe this be a worthwhile item that I paid for.

Summary: Works, but package has deceptive info
Review: I got this adapter thinking I could use the serial cable for my HP Jornada 568 and get USB speeds for syncing to a new desktop (Windows) and not have to buy a new cable. The product does work, but not at USB speeds. Its driver fools the system into thinking the USB port is another serial port so you configure the sync software (MS ActiveSync in my case) to use the converted serial port. As a result, the syncing worked, but only at a max of 115200 bps instead of the "500 kbps data transfer rate" advertised on the package. Maybe other PDAs will work properly, but the Jornada apparently doesn't allow a USB connection if you use the serial cable. For those who need Windows XP drivers or further instructions for Mac, go to http://www.pccrisis.com/prdsupic.htm and scroll to the bottom of the page looking for "PDA Products".

Bottom line: If you have a Jornada (or perhaps any other PocketPC PDA) and want USB syncing, just get the USB cable.

Summary: Try and find support... HA!
Review: I purchased the iConcepts adapter to synch my Palm M100 with a Mac. I followed the very limited instructions on the CD that came with it, but absolutely refused to work. Oh fine I thought, I'll get support on the Web. After some investigation I found out that iConcepts is part of a company called Sakar International. When I found their site, I clicked on the link to iConcepts and it returned page not found. I've tried again and again over the past 3 or 4 months and still the same thing. If you have a Mac, don't waste your money.

Summary: Don't like product
Review: I purchsed this adapter for use with a basic stamp module. I can't get the software off the disk even. Say its for mac OS x, but does not work yet. Looking for drivers online may not be the solution. I wasted 30.00. what a shame. I should have spend the extra 20 dollars for the keyspan usb serial port adapter.

Summary: Worthless for Mac
Review: I wish I'd looked on Amazon.com prior to buying. Local computer supermarket was selling these on sale and I had been needing to sync my Palm to my Powerbook running Mac OS X 10.2. Unfortunately, as the other reviews have stated, this doesn't work at all :( Just wanted to help bring this product's rating shockingly low so that Mac users can beware. For keyword indexing purposes, this device has a problem with mac os x, does not work on powerbook, nothing happens when you plug it into a mac.

Summary: Good luck getting it to work with Mac OS 10.2 or above.
Review: Make sure you can find version 1.0.4 of the PL-2303 driver from iConcepts before buying this adapter. The version which ships with the adapter is an older version and won't work with Mac OS 10.2. BTW, good luck finding version 1.0.4 of the driver. I found hits through google saying the driver was available at some point from iConcepts, but it's not there now (Their support site sucks too). Piece of advice, do not buy this adapter if plugging onto a Mac running 10.2. It's not worth the hassle.

Now I have an adapter which doesn't do anything but look pretty. It'll work fine with the classic environment and probably all the Microsoft OS's but does absolutely nothing with Mac 10.2.

Summary: Works fine in Mac OS X 10.2.x
Review: Once you get the latest driver from the sakar web site (go to the support section), you'll be fine for mac os x 10.2.x.

the version of the driver that came in the package was too old (version 1.0.3), but the version 1.0.6 driver from the support web site made it work like a champ.
