Summary: This product works well!
Review: After reading some reviews I was concerned that this product would not work as advertised, but I am here to tell you that this product works very well!

Summary: Excellent customer support
Review: I bought this cable and had a problem getting a connection with my HP Omnibook's USB port. The reason for the 5 star rating is the excellent and immediate support provided by Steven owners of iconcepts. When I called for help troubleshooting the balky connection, Steven fedex'd me 2 other replacement cables with slightly different configurations to help me isolate the problem, with the offer that I just keep whichever one worked and return the others. Sure enough, my first cable had been just a bit too big to seat all the way into the HP's recessed USB port, while the newer replacements were both smaller and fit perfectly. That kind of help for a small [$$$] product is rare these days. It's rare for computer tasks to be trouble-free so customer service and support on problems is the most important factor in choosing a product. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sakar's iconcepts products to others.

Summary: It does the job!
Review: I bought this charger a few months ago and it does the job. It charges my Jornada 568 just fine and slips itself into my laptop bag very nicely. for the price it can't be beat, the connectors fit as good as it could and syncs just fine. Good deal for the money.

Summary: USB Connector is large
Review: I have a HP Omnibook 4150 and jornada 560, I do hate traveling with the original charger and cradle, I was excited finding a single lightweight cable that do both functions, but before I purchase it, I read all the customer reviews and I found strange the Amazon's...product review explaining that the cable simply does not work until he received two more from iConcepts support with different configurations. Any way I decided to buy it and guess what?... it charges the PDA but does not sync!, it is recognized when it is plugged between PC and PDA but just in the minute you expect to see files synchronizing it appears a "No connected" window.
Due to [the] review I thought that maybe one cable was maybe making shortcut or that one connector cable was swapped... I tested both the cable and the original hp cradle with a "multimeter" expecting to find something different but unfortunately both were exactly the same!. I have access to the HP Jornada's support center technicians and they can't find an answer to what's happening. I tried with another jornada and friend's PC (expecting that mine were having a problem) but it made the same error. There are two things that I believe are happening:
1) The cable can't support the bandwidth required to do sync.
2) The connector pins are slightly shorter that the hp cradle so maybe one of those are not making contact with the PDA.

...the solution was different!, I noticed that the USB connector in the plastic part was thicker than others, that avoid the cable to go all the way in, causing the "no conection messagge" so I handmade cut the plastic connector of the USB side, in order to the metallic conector and pins are longer like 1/8 inch and the cable works excelent!!! thats why I give 4 stars.

Summary: It was great
Review: It was easy to use and charged my HP Joranda 540 handheld.

Summary: Great for travellers
Review: Of course don't forget that your PDA can only charge if your laptop is on.

Summary: Nice portable alternative to the hot-sync cradle, but.....
Review: This cable is a great portable alternative to the hot-sync cradle that comes with the Jornada, which tends to be bulky and difficult to carry. And while it functions just like the cradle, it allows you to charge your PDA directly from the computer/lap-top's USB port.

However, there is one shortcoming. Obviously, the level of power that the USB port provides is much less than that of a regular wall outlet. Consequently, charging time is greatly increased. because of this, I would only recommend the cable for travel when you can't bring the hotsync along.
