Rating: Summary: Visor deluxe - problems with it Review: I have a visor deluxe and after reading all these good reviews I went with this cheap case. Well, the minute I opened it I noticed the nylon-ish sides blooming out of the sides, quite unattractive I thought. But, who cares, it was leather and did a good job right? The next problem was with the velcro holding device. You must glue the velcro patch to your PDA's back (which is tricky enough with springboard covers and batteries in the way) and plus it makes the pda quite ugly and less sleek to hold. Then, inside the case, it wobbles on the velcro stip's thickness. It rides pretty high, too, and doesn't feel "locked in"I was about ready to deal with all of this since the case did fit the twist stylus/pen i bought nicely, but then the true problem arose: *The velcro prevents the unit from slipping into the hotsynch cradle since it must rest nicely on the slot in the back of the unit* So, this made it utterly useless! Hats off to sumdex. I'll give it one extra star for price. Jon
Rating: Summary: Simple, rugged, and good looking Review: I have been using this case for over 6 months and it is holding up beautifully. I carry my Visor everywhere and open it many, many times a day. The zipper has never caused a problem. Even the velcro, which I was skeptical of in the beginning, still sticks despite daily removal for Hotsyncs. I highly recommend this product.
Rating: Summary: Better than I thought Review: I have owned this organizer wallet now for a month and it is the best thing I have purchased for my handheld so far. Upon opening it, I was surprised at the quality of the leather for the cost, very nice. I own a Sony Clie T615 and it is perfect for it. I read about the battery drain problem in other reviews and left the original cover on my Sony when I placed it in the wallet. No problems in that area at all. I also purchased the platinum pen/stylus and it fits perfectly where the extra batteries are to be held. The velcro holder is small enough where I can still hotsync and it firmly holds the Clie in place. One more GREAT thing it still keeps it small enough to go in my purse. LOVE it and highly recommend it to all Sony Clie T615 users. I have only put a couple of cards in the wallet but I can tell you will not be able to stuff it with papers/cards, etc, there should be no need. If you are looking for something to protect your Clie, this is it.
Rating: Summary: Great case, great deal, great price Review: I love this case! First of all, it looks great. It's good quality leather and the Sumdex logo is relatively unobtrusive on the front. I like the zipper enclosure, because even though it includes a Velcro strip to stick on the back of your PDA I don't have to use it (thereby marring the back of my new visor) because the zipper keeps it from falling out. Another reviewer said the case was too snug for his Visor. I have a Handspring Visor Deluxe and mine fits just fine. The only way the fit is a little snug is when I keep the plastic cover on (that came with the visor), but this way I don't have to worry about any possible battery drain or scratches on the screen. Though I have yet to drop my visor in its new case, I have no doubt that it would survive just fine. The leather on the front and back is fairly stiff on the inside (perhaps due to cardboard inserts?) but still slightly padded to the touch on the outside. The corners are rounded for comfort but still very sturdy ( I can't even make them bend myself). All this, added to the fact that it has card slots, elastic loops for holding batteries or an extra stylus, and a *cheap* price means it's a great deal that shouldn't be passed up.
Rating: Summary: Not as handy as you might think... Review: I ordered this because I needed to reduce the contents of my purse and I *thought* this would be a nice way to combine my wallet contents and my Visor, and reduce fumbling when I'm trying to enter info into Quicken while checking out at the store, noting return dates for video rentals, etc... HOWEVER... The space allowed for credit cards and cash in this is minimal. If you carry more than 3 credit cards and a driver's license, forget about it. It needs to be thicker (or expandable?), and the leather isn't quite as nice as I expected.
Rating: Summary: Good Pocket PC Case - Great Value! Review: I ordered this case based on the reviews I read, and I was NOT AL ALL disappointed! It's a great value for the $$$, plus my Pocket PC fits in there perfectly and seems well protected. Add me to those who recommend the Sundex!
Rating: Summary: Works for me! Review: I purchased this case for my Handspring Visor and have been quite satisfied with it. I added some extra velcro to the back to hold my hardcover in place and now just snap my Visor in or out as needed. I usually don't use the Visor while in the case(although I could), so I snap the handheld in facing the back to prevent any wear and tear on the screen. I also only carry two cards in the case so bulk is not a problem. The all-around zipper gives me a greater sense of security concerning the handheld. The compact size fits easily into my handbag. A good product with a good price that works for me.
Rating: Summary: Best value around Review: I purchased this first because of the price. I have a Compaq Aero 1550. The case that came with it is horrible. This case gives you great protection, yet is small enough that you can still put it in your pocket. Leather is so much nicer than those plastic/vinal cases. Overall a great case for the price.
Rating: Summary: very nice palm protector Review: I recently got this organizer wallet for my Palm Vx and overall I am very pleased. It is definitely a good value for the money. It comes in a nice soft black leather and the Sumdex name is imprinted on the front. The name doesn't stand out too much, as it is written in small letters in the bottom right hand corner. I am constently using my organizer and the zipper seems to be sturdy and holding up well to all the use its getting. My only disappointment is that it is just a little bit too large for the Palm Vx (approx. 1" too long). I wanted a zippered cover for my palm so that the face wouldn't get scratched up in my purse. This offers a nice protection, but I would have preferred it to fit a bit snugger just to conserve space in my purse. It does have adequate room for a few business cards, credit cards, etc. which is nice. Luckily, I haven't dropped it yet, but I believe it would offer enough protection to avoid damage to my Palm. Again, it is a nice organizer protector and is a good value.
Rating: Summary: Great case for the Jornada 548 Review: I use this case with my Jornada 548 with the flip-up cover still on. The unit attaches to the case with a piece of Velcro but since the Jornada has its CompactFlash slot, toggle wheel, microphone record button, headphone socket, IR, and sync connectors on the sides of the unit you can leave the PDA in the case all the time if you'd like. The only thing you can't do with the PDA attached to the case is set the unit in its cradle -- but if you happen to use the power cord and parallel sync cable you don't need the cradle. I use it both ways, in the cradle at home and in the case at work. I also carry a few business cards in the card slots as well as a stylus/pen which fits in the elastic loops along the spine. It's a snug fit but the case zips up without a problem and creates a nice sturdy compact bundle. Make sure your PDA doesn't require access or attachments to the back. Also, if you use your IR you'll want to make sure that your IR reader/transmitter is on the top, bottom or right side of your PDA otherwise you'll be beaming into the spine of the case. Watch out for interference from the zipper, too. All in all, a great case for my Jornada 548.
