Rating: Summary: even Batman wants one of these! Review: just got my 548. meets all of my expectations, and then some. screen is very readable and navigating through the applications is well thought out and logical, making this tool very useable. this is not just another toy which loses its appeal after 3 months. I use this tool to manage my time, without any hassle and no need to take 3 giant umbrella steps before asking mother may I. at first glance, it may seem a bit pricy; but, this thing is feature rich and very easy to use. Besides, you deserve a treat, you're worth it!
Rating: Summary: Jornada 548 Review Review: As a devoted Palm Pilot fanatic it was disconcerting to use a product so superior to anything Palm offers. Now that the Windows Pocket PC platform has come of age, the functionality of the Jornada simply blows away the Palm. The simplicity of the Palm is no longer an adequate rationale for shunning the CE/Pocket PC platform. The Jornada is easy to use, powerful and far more useful than my Palm. Indeed, the Jornada will permit me to avoid taking my laptop on the road far more often. The Jornada moves the PDA beyond merely being an electronic substitute for a Filofax. My faith in HP is renewed and I won't buy Palm stock until I see something more innovative than simply tacking a color screen on to the Palm III. If the Jornada is not causing some sleepless nights for Palm management the Company is in big trouble. Trust me, 15 minutes with the Jornada and you'll see the future of PDAs.
Rating: Summary: The most excellent organizer Review: The HP Jornada 548 is easy to use, easy to read, lots of fun and very effective in organizing appointments, emails, notes, game playing etc. I recommend it. The only downside is that with only 4 hours' effective working time before a recharge is necessary, I need to keep chargers at both home and work.
Rating: Summary: A great addition! Review: I have watched the palm grow in popularity over the last few years. All the while, I have never had one for more than 5 days. The Palm is a great Personal information manager. However, this is truly a POCKET PC.I bought my 548, and 64mb of ram and the modem. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. It is stable, easy to use, connects to the web, e-mail everything! Microsoft has finally gotten CE right. I hot-sync at home using USB(NT does not support USB)and using the serial cable at work. Both connections are amazing. Go for it!
Rating: Summary: Everything It Is Billed to Be Review: Having moved from a Palm V to the Jornada, I am most pleased with the superior screen. No more eye strain. If you already us Outlook and are familiar with Windows, you will be up and running in no time. I only use this for business, so I can't comment on the multi-media, but even as a simple organizer as I use it, it is well worth the $599
Rating: Summary: Quick shipment, but now there is a problem w/no response. Review: The product was shipped quickly. But now I cannot get the Pocket PC to connect to any PC. I have emailed the seller numerous times about this and they will not respond to me. Amazon is abolutely no help either, they will not do anything to help me. If I ever do get the problem fixed, I will change the bad rating for the seller.
Rating: Summary: Good product for my needs Review: The HP Jornada is easy to use and learn. I am already receiving infared contacts and files from my clients. As soon as I learn how to transmit infared files, my work productivity will increase. I do a lot of file sharing and versioning with my colleagues. Getting my calendar synched will be very helpful too. I am a first time buyer of used goods on Amazon - and I am glad I took the chance. Only one disappointment: shipping took much longer than I anticipated (11 days instead of 1-2).
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: A very good product. Knowing nothing at all about the world of palm pilots and pocket pc's, I started looking into them. Aside from working full time, I was getting ready to go to school and figured I might need a little help keeping myself and my schedule a little more well organized. My first decision...I decided to go with the lince of pocket pcs rather than the palms. From there, it wasn't an easy decision, but after comparing costs, things like memory, the different features, etc. I decided to go with the HP Jornada 548...not one of the newer, but not one of the oldest models either. I've got to say, it was one of the smartest shopping decisions I've ever made. I've owned mine for about 6 months now, and I have absolutely no regrets. Easy start up, easy to sync, and the memory is more than adequate. For someone hesitant about buying a pocket pc, I'd say this is definitely a good buy!
Rating: Summary: Nice product, for the most part Review: This bad boy has an amazing list of features at a great price. The included CD rom has plenty of additional software for anything you could ever want in a hand held. This is my first hand held and as of now I see no reason to upgrade, it lacks nothing. I would recommend a memory card if you want to use the MP3 feature.
