Rating: Summary: Good... If you know what you want. Review: I got my BE-300 roughly 3 weeks after I ordered it. Anyway, I thought I knew what I wanted; I had gone to all these web sites, looked at reviews, checked it out at best buy (the usual) After I recieved it, my next obstacle was figuring out how to syncronize it and put new programs onto it. Now, I'm pretty good with computers, better than most, I would say, and I still got confused. I don't see how someone with less knowledge of computers could have figured it out. I also don't like the fact that it isn't really windows CE, (that also confused me when I first heard about it) It is ONLY good if you want to do EXACTLY what programs are available, (all by casio) Anyway, I returned mine to get an iPAQ 3765, I decided I would much rather have a more flexible device with Pocket PC 2002. Bottom line: Only get it if you only want/need what it comes with.
Rating: Summary: BE300 Quality Issues Review: After purchasing my BE-300, I could not access attached files or re-sync my calendar. Only my tasks and contacts would sync properly. After repeated attempts to Casio Support, I've returned my BE-300. Very dissatisfied.
Rating: Summary: Great for wireless e-mail! Review: I received my BE-300 in November and I plugged it into my Samsung cell phone. I get a 19.0 connection that is perfect for sending and receiving e-mail on the road. This unit is also great because it uses standard CompactFlashcards that my digital camera uses. The fact that BE-300 plays MP3 files is a huge plus. I'm really happy with my Casio BE-300!
Rating: Summary: Great Handheld Review: Really a great handheld for the money! If you want to store addresses and contacts, this is it. This unit is not like the others. Great screen, easy useability, and it will even except compact flash cards....Awesome!!!
Rating: Summary: Great value Review: This system has excellent color 32K not 256 like the HP525. If you want to play golf on your handheld get another system. But if you're looking for an organizer that is expandable (plays mp3s), stores digital photos, has a USB port for lightning fast downloads, and can manage your time you've found the right one. If you have a lot of money get an iPaq otherwise for the value you can't beat the Cassiopeia. The WinCE 3.0 might limit available software but how much can you pack on a handheld? With pocket PC2002 just around the corner any unit you buy will be old in 3 months. (...)
Rating: Summary: Jubaka Review: ... You can't beat it. I don't really care that its not a pocket pc and can't run its software. It can play MP3s plus organizer, those two alone is worth the $189, not to mention the 16bit screen much better than the HP 525's 256 color screen. If you are looking for a cheap color handheld with MP3 capablities this is the best deal out there.
Rating: Summary: This is NOT a Pocket PC Review: This is a pocket organizer based on CE software. What does that mean? It cannot use 99% of the existing PocketPC software. Casio is promoting products to compile versions to work with the BE, but currently there is virtually nothing.
Rating: Summary: Slow Recall Review: I have owned this unit. It's processor was very slow when searching a contact. It took up to 20 seconds. I have always had Casio PDA's, but had to trade this one in for a Toshiba.
Rating: Summary: Great for price and great to learn on Review: This PDA is great for beginners and to learn how to use a PDA. If you use it, then upgrade to something more technical.
Rating: Summary: Slow Recall Review: It was a GOOD one until I tried to buy a new battery for it. It took me a week to get ahold of someone at Casio to order a battery. When I finally did, it was on backorder. They refered me to another supplier that gets them from Casio. When I asked "how much?" they said $63 plus freight ($71 total). I decided that was too much. I only paid $140 for my BE-300 new. I have checked online for other sources and no luck. So, off to the "electronics bone pile" it will go....
