Summary: Excellent PDA ! Worth for the money you pay!
Review: I bought Toshiba E310...It's an excellent deal. For [little] more than the price of a PDA with black & white screen, I got a pocket PC with longer battery life (1week for 15mts of daily use), sleek metallic body, with pocket word, excell, MP3 player, voice recorder, calendar, todo lists, contacts, Internet explorer, E-mail, MSN messenger, ebook reader, Notes, File explorer, etc. Also it comes with 32MB RAM. There are lots of free software & shareware for pocketpc available for download...

Summary: Wonderful PDA
Review: Got it for a week. Love it! Light, the power is more than 6 hours. It has most Compaq Ipaq functions, but [much less expensive] than Ipaq. However, there are a couple of things I don't like. 1. It uses SD card, which is not compatible with most digital cameras. It means, you need to you buy a SD card specially for PDA. 2. The sound is not good, even using headset. Even though, it is still a nice PDA with affortable price.

Summary: Great unit
Review: I have been using a Casio E-125 (aka the brick) for over a year and finally decided to give it up for a sleeker unit. The e310 is slim, light, "actually pocketable", and [inexpensive]. Its been a fantastic upgrade for me.

Summary: Small screen, big value
Review: Does everything big PC does. Only problem is without full keyboard data entry is much, much slower. That problem still needs to be dealt with.

Summary: PDA THAT YOU CAN USE EASILY!
Review: THe Toshiba e310 Pocket PC is great! I used to own a Palm IIIx, but found the Palm OS VERY HARD to get down. That stupid graffiti input stuff was horrible. With the Pocket PC, I can simply write what I want on the screen in my own handwriting, and it types it out for me! GREAT!

The Toshiba is great because of the many features it has. First, you have the LOW PRICE! The only difference between this guy and the other PDA's out there (with the exeption of a little more speed and bigger storage), which you can buy another memory stick cheaper than buying the next model up that has one included, all they have is a wireless modem! What they don't tell you is that you have to pay for the service, and then it is still not truly internet!

BUY THE TOSHIBA e310, you will be happy that you did! I know I am!

Summary: bummer
Review: It's a cute device, nice display, but it has a disturbing habit of turning itself on. More than one button turns it on, and it you happen to touch one of those through the goofy case that comes with it, you could find (as I did) that you've wasted battery life tape recording the radio in the car for a half hour.

And then there's the fact that although the specs and manual say you can connect it to the Internet and download email, there's no way to do this. I haven't found any SD modems. I haven't found ANY way to connect it to the Internet, so why did they bother to put Explorer on it? Just so that you can sync web pages and look at them? (That's dumb!)

All in all, a disappointment, but a cute one. Of several PDAs I've used, this is the only one I can use with success in dim light -- that's a plus. But someone at Toshiba should've taken this puppy for a test-trot before marketing it. Someone should've asked consumers what they really want and written documentation that's honest about the machine's capacity.

Summary: Can't beat it for the price
Review: The display is so much sharper with better contrast and color saturation than any of the Palm units. It's nice to be able to use familiar applications and importing my data into Outlook from an Excel spreadsheet was as easy as it gets. Synching with Pocket Outlook is flawless.

For the typical PDA user, you can't beat the e310 for the price and it keeps coming down.

The only problem I've found so far is that there aren't many add ons like WiFi cards and modems for the SD slot. This isn't a problem for me since this wasn't meant to be used like a laptop.

Recording voice clips and playing MP3s and WMA files works perfectly. Saving them to the SD card is easy and works the way it's supposed to. A great value for under [edit price](after rebates).

Summary: Buy this PDA before its gone!!
Review: I've used several PDA's over the last few years, but none have come even close to the Toshiba's e310 value and appearance. The color screen is superb! The mp3 feature is awesome for traveling or since the Toshiba is so small perfect to take along for a run. The text recognition far surpasses any operating system that I used before. So overall, I love this PDA and its an amazing bargain with rebates.
