Description:
The Palm OS upgrade with mobile connectivity is packed with new applications and features that make it even easier to stay organized and connected. In addition to the new Palm OS, version 4.1, you'll get Palm Desktop for Windows v4.01 and Palm Desktop for Mac v.2.6.3. It also includes useful applications like MultiMail SE 1.0 for sending and receiving e-mail. With the new Note Pad application, you can quickly write notes in your own handwriting--like writing virtual "sticky notes"--and then synchronize them to the desktop for viewing or forwarding. The new Alarms and Reminders feature saves time by enabling you to view, snooze, or clear multiple alarms with a single tap. Other enhancements include improved security and a new onscreen keyboard. You'll get new mobile connectivity applications and features, including the ability to send SMS messages via infrared-enabled GSM wireless phones. The new integrated Internet features support most ISP accounts so you can access your own e-mail and Internet account. To access the Internet, you will need either a Palm OS-compatible modem or a data-enabled mobile phone with an infrared port or cable exits, and a service provider that supports data services. (See www.palm.com/software/mik/phone.html for compatibility information.) This software will upgrade the following handhelds: Palm V, Vx, III, IIIx, IIIxe, or IIIc handheld with Palm OS version 3.1, 3.3, or 3.5.
