Rating: Summary: The best in Palm OS Review: Currently this PDA is the best of Palm OS. The only thing it does not have is a MP3 player for which you should get the Clie 760 model of Sony (and pay a lot more also!) The plusses: 1> Color screen! and high resolution too!! 2> Jog dial (I love it when going through addresses or calendar). 3> Long battery life (About 3 weeks if sparingly used, about 10 days normally). 4> Fits right into your 'palm' - neither too big nor too small. 5> Memory expansion option available via MemoryStick.Minusses: 1> No bundled MemoryStick or case. 2> Just a bit pricey.

Rating: Summary: Clie N610C. A repair after 14 months costs too much Review: I bought the unit in January 2002. By design or bad luck, the unit froze. I bought it from [a department store] and they offered no extended warranty. I called Sony two days ago. They have the most impressive and accurate voice messaging system I have ever heard. After a lengthy, but clever, screening, I managed to hear human voices. Very kind, obviously reading scripts from screens. I could not distinguish the electronic voice system from actual real people. They were following a coreographed procedure. Did you reset? Yes. Did you recharge? Yes. After repeating about 3 times, I was told to ship the unit for repair. The cost [is] mind boggling... After only 14 months since new. This is the end of the script of Sony Clie Service. I just want to warn the potential buyers. Sony charges the PDA consumer hidden costs tha annoy and make an otherwise a loyal owner very disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Best Palm OS PDA available Review: I have a PEG-N710C, which is the same as this model, but includes the MP3 player functionality, which can be added to this one as an option. This is a wonderful PDA. The resolution is amazing and much better than its Palm or Handspring competitors. Photos can be downloaded and viewed with brilliant clarity. The memory stick slot is very handy for storing applications, MP3 files, or pictures. Memory sticks can be shared between the PDA and other Sony electronics. I have a Sony digital camera as well and it is very helpful to be able to use my memory sticks in both the camera and the PDA. Applications cannot be run directly from the memory stick but pictures and MP3 files can be directly accessed. The processor is fast, the UI is great, the unit is lightweight, and I have had nothing but good experiences with Sony support.
Rating: Summary: Happy CLIE owner Review: I have owned a Palm m105 for quite sometime now. I was bored to tears with it though and rarely used it. it was dim screened, slow, and the screen was small. I am very happy with my Sony CLIE' 610c. this is the clearest, and fastest Palm available that I have found. with 16-bit color, I have pictures of my daughter on it, and show them off instead of carrying them in my wallet. People "ooh" and "Ahh" over that! Its a great device, I definatly recommend it to anyone looking to buy a personal organizer. I dont regret purchasing it at all.
Rating: Summary: Great replacement for my Palm. Review: I have owned a Palm Vx for about a year, until it broke in an accident. Looking for an alternative, the first thing I looked was the Palm m505. Let me tell you, it was BORING! It was the same thing as the Palm Vx, except with colors, and the colors were not lively at all! I'm happy with the Sony Clie, as it is vividly colorful, and it's even cheaper than a m505, so it's well worth it. Another plus is the use of expansion cards (Sony's Memory Sticks). This allows easy transportation of data, and since they're available for up to 128 MB, this allows great storage capacities! You should check out its cousin, the 710c, which also has built in multimedia, I heard. If it weren't for the fact that I already had a MD player AND a MP3 player, I think I would have heavily considered it. Overall, this is a serious competitior to the Palm series, and I love it!

Rating: Summary: Very close to being a perfect PDA Review: I love the screen's readability (both indoor & outdoor!!)& resolution. Just try it and compare it to any other brand, including pocket pc's. You will be amazed by it too! The only thing that I wish Sony has included with the Clie is a conversion calculator similar to the one included with the Handspring Visor Platinum. I find the Visor's included calculator superior to the one included with the Clie. Other than that, Clie is outstanding. For example, unlike the Visor, Clie does not need a adapter to use with additional memory cards. Everything is built in. Sure, the palm has similar system but Palm's screen resolution is no where near Clie's. Clie also offers more useful (for me)built-in softwares and accessing the memorystick (free 32mb offer by Sony!)is relatively seamless and hassle-free. I could do w/o some of the chrome trims but hey, it sure looks 10 times better than most of the palm-based or pocket pc out there & it is smaller too. The li-ion polymer battery is fantastic. Very long lasting. Good luck!

Rating: Summary: A pretty good PDA Review: I purchased this as a replacement for my Handspring Visor Deluxe, and on the whole, I would say it has been a positive experience. What I like: 1. The sharp color screen. 2. The smaller, thinner size. 3. Memory stick capability. 4. It is faster. What I don't like: 1. Placement of the power button directly below the up/down button. 2. Buttons are too small and not as ergonomically friendly as those on the visor. 3. The sync software is terrible. It comes with Intellisync Lite, which is quite inferior to the Chapura PocketMirror that comes with the Visor. 4. I wish they could get together with Handspring and license the slot. I never used my old slot, but you never know when it might be useful. I wouldn't have bought this if I had to pay full price for this. However, I couldn't pass up the beautiful shape and sharp color screen for the low 3rd party price I got.
