Summary: Easy Setup; Easy Conversion
Review: Great Product. I converted from a Palm Pilot III. The Palm Pilot seemed to have intermittant problems with synching with Outlook and was always hard to read except in very good light. The Visor deluxe set up was easy, synch is flawless, screen is easy to read and much faster. Additionally, the Visor is expandable.

I am an RN and downloaded epocrates drug guide ... and find it invaluable in my work.

All the personal and professional information in a pocketsized appliance. What an age we live in!

Summary: Quality slightly lower than Palm, but still a good buy.
Review: I received the Visor as a gift to replace my broken Palm III. The Visor's plastic feels slightly cheaper and less solid than that used in Palm's products. In addition, the feel of the stylus on the screen is slightly less than satisfactory. (I will probably purchase a pen/stylus combo soon to replace it.)

However, the Visor is in most other respects identical to the Palm. I have not noticed any problems related to the non-upgradable OS. (The Visor, unlike the Palm, does not have flash ROM.) In addition, the expandability of the Visor via Springboard modules has excellent promise. I have yet to purchase a module, but have been eyeing several with great interest once I have enough spare cash.

Finally, the ability of the Visor to securely clip into a case, rather than using velcro, is a great plus to me. My Palm broke after I dropped it one too many times and the physical safety of my PDA is very important to me.

Overall, I would recommend the Visor as a solid alternative to Palm products, except the Palm Vx, which still has no equal.

Summary: A great alternative to Palm.
Review: Utilizing the same software as a Palm PDA, the Handspring provides everything you need and costs less. It has the same user interface. It looks the same. The main difference is that the Handspring costs about half what a comparable Palm Organizer would run. The batteries, 2 AAA, last between 2 and 3 months depending on usage. And, the handset comes with a USB compatible cradle which will dock to any Macintosh (G3/Blue and newer) and many PCs. This is a great alternative to overpaying for a Palm. Plus, Handspring has several plug-ins that help to expand the power even more.

Summary: Great product
Review: This is a fabulous product an I wholeheartedly recommend it for all your organiser needs. 2MB is tight but 8 is generous. Not only does it look good but MP3, backup, flash memory, modem and digital camera modules are just fab and a cellphone module is on the way!

Only one complaint - you can't upgrade the operating system which means that unlike a Palm you can't get new OS features like infrared syncing with your PC / laptop. Handspring say it makes it more stable but...

Summary: WHICH ONE TO BUY - HELP?!?!?!?
Review: Hi! I'm trying to decide between the Handspring or Palm IIIxe. Any suggestions or helpful info would be greatly appreciated. What were some deciding factors for you? Thanks alot!! I really like the green one - how does it look in "real life"!

Review: The price, features, and expandability via Springboard modules make this an excellent PDA! I'm very happy with it and highly recommend it.

Summary: A great help with my job
Review: I bought this with the idea of using it for work. As a nurse I put my caseload in and away I go. I can quickly look up pertinent phone numbers for my patients as well as allergies and whatever I have entered. I downloaded ePocrates a great medical free program and can access drug info quickly. On top of this I can even put in my shopping list. How cool is that.

Summary: not just for geeks and junior executives
Review: I used to think PDAs were just a little bit vulgar, and held on tight to my bound, paper appointment book. What sold me on the Handspring was that it's COOL looking. IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A PIECE OF OFFICE EQUIPMENT. And now it's possible to download newspapers from all over the world using AvantGo. I get Ha'aretz, NY Times, Salon, Jerusalem Post, Manchester Guardian, and the Times of London for FREE every day. They fit in my pocket and are a wonderful indulgence while commuting. You can also download your favorite web sites and access them anywhere with the Handspring. I love my Handspring!

Summary: This is GREAT for students!
Review: I'm only 13 but when I saw this thing I knew it would be fun and keep me organized. I've had it for 3 days and i LOVE it. I keep all assignments, addresses, and everything else in one sleek little place. PLUS, unlike the palms it looks cool (i got the blue one with a really cute case). A must have for any student! It made my life so easy!

Summary: The best money I ever spent...
Review: I love my Handspring Visor. I have tried to be an organized person, but nothing ever seemed to work, until I bought my Handspring. I complete a lot more tasks b/c I don't forget them! Everything is stored in one place so I never lose information. It has come in handy for addresses many times in the short time I have had it.

I've only owned it for just over a month and already replaced the batteries, but only b/c I use it for hours everyday. One great thing about it is that it makes me look busy even though I may just be playing a game. :)
