Rating: Summary: It's great Review: awesome machine , you have to buy it easy to use a lot of great stuff in the net for it. A little expensive but worth every penny. Since I purchased it i've been on time and haven't forgotten anything
Rating: Summary: Now's the time Review: I have had owned a Palm, Palm Pro, Palm III and now the Palm IIIx. I can only say that 3Com has figured it out. Everything that I need is packed into this little machine. My life information,my games and my reading material. I must use it at least 10-20 times a day. Waiting in line I read my books. My alarm goes off to tell me I have a meeting. I take notes at meetings. Buy yourself an early Christmas present now!
Rating: Summary: Great organizer, but could be better Review: This is definitely my choice of organizer for all the ones out there, Palm or otherwise. However, it has two serious flaws that make 5 stars not realistic. First, the streaking problem. This is really terrible on some IIIx's and it's hard to believe 3Com would release the product in this state. Even with the recent upgrade, I still have significant streaks...and the upgrade causes other things to surface. Second, the "improved" backlighting is awful. I haven't met anyone who liked it over the old backlighting. Why this was changed, I'll never figure out.
Rating: Summary: can't live without it Review: I have had my Palm III for about 3 months now and I could not get through a day without it
Rating: Summary: Easy IR Sync Review: I love my PalmIIIx. With all the extra software I was downloading, I had maxed out the memory on my Palm III. I decided to get the IIIx rather than upgrade the memory because I wanted the improved display. It is SO much better. And for all you gadget hounds out there who want to sync your PalmIIIx with your portable computer via the infrared device, there is a bit of freeware on the Internet called IrSync+ that allows you to do just that. I think I found it while searching for software on ZDNet or some such thing...
Rating: Summary: VERY HANDY FOR TRAVELERS Review: I'm on the road alot --- business and personal. I've already loaded on a currency converter, some language phrase books (Lingua Franca), an itinerary organizer, and information about the places to which I am going. Plus I've put on books for downtime waiting in airports. I'm looking forward to adding GPS. It's a wonderful little tool. Now if I could only search the internet with it. . .
Rating: Summary: I sync, therefore I am... Review: This is the real thing. Now with 4MB RAM. The best organizer you can find. Easy to synchronize with PC...
Rating: Summary: Love the PalmIIIx! Review: The latest isn't necessarily the best. I chose the Palm IIIx, rather than the Palm V, because of its flexibility, upgrade ability and larger memory. I'm glad I did. It substitutes for all sorts of bulkier electronics and on-paper tasks. It travels everywhere with me and keeps me current. Highly recommended!!
Rating: Summary: A power users dream Review: I first started out with a Palm V - I loved it, except for two annoyances - first, it would only handle 2 meg of RAM, and second, it would not allow any of the cool accessories you can get for the Palm. So, with much hesitation I took the Palm V back and bought a Palm IIIx - I am very happy I did! Now I have 8 meg of RAM on it, and I can hook all those exciting gizmos like GPS receivers to it. If you are someone who just wants a Palm device, go for the Palm V - but if you are a power user who wants everything, do the IIIx - you will not regret it.
Rating: Summary: fantastic tool! Review: I had a palm professional for 2 years prior to the Palm IIIx and can really appreciate the difference. I can't imagine my days without this handy organizer...and you can download games like solitaire.
