Summary: Great Idea--Terrible Display
Review: I owned a Sony Clie SL10 for about 30 minutes. The display is Terribly Dark!!! It didn't matter what type of lighting I was in, it was way too hard to read. I returned it and got the Sony Clie PEG-S360. It cost the same but has a much better display and twice as much memory. I have owned 4 PDA's before this one and this PEG-S360 is truly the best. I got away from Palm products because of the unrealiability of the m125 and because of poor customer service. When I called Sony to ask a question about Hot Sync thay were pleasant and very thorough. They are handling customer service the way Palm use to. I do not recommend the SL10 but I love my PEG-S360.

Summary: Tiniest Clie Yet
Review: Sony has come out with a cute little handheld. It's the same size as a Handspring Treo 90 with a slightly larger screen. The contrast is the same as the discontinued T415 model. It's a winner. Now if they would only release accessories.

Summary: Great Value
Review: I broke my Palm V and needed to replace it without too much cost. The SL10 fills the void and more. The jog dial is convenient and the high resolution screen looks fantastic.

I wasn't sure about the AAA batteries and lack of cradle, but I am adapting without problems -- rechargable NiMH batteries fill the void and I don't have to worry about being near my computer to recharge the PDA.

Summary: Great value for a low-end PDA
Review: I think this would be the perfect PDA if it were color, but it's still a great value for the price. I love the high resolution screen - it's clear, easy to read and the backlight works great. I actually like the fact that it uses regular AAA batteries...I hate waiting for things to recharge.

During my research, I read one review that complained about a slow screen refresh which is partially true, but it hasn't been a problem.

Out of all the PDAs in the price range, this has the most readable screen and best features - and it looks great as well...much smaller than I imagined.

Summary: Incredible
Review: I have had this device for only a few days, but I am in the throes of Pocket PC withdrawal and I find this PDA the best value out there. I don't need color, but I do need functionality and this Clie has it. The thumb dial is an excellent tool. I hooked it up to my PC, sync'd and everything I had on my Outlook was not only flawlessly copied to the Clie, but in a format that I find much more accommodating than the Pocket PC format. I love it. I've added Simpliwrite and Bugme reminder software and am ready to roll when the schoolyear starts next week.

Summary: Excellent product!
Review: At this price, there is simply no competition! Beautifully built, very readable hi-res screen, decent 8 MB RAM, memory-stick slot for expansion, jog-dial and a back button -- what else could one ask for? Yes, it doesn't have a color screen or an MP3 player, but then no other models at this price level have them either. Great PDA for most everyone. I use mine to read books (replaces a 4.5 year old Palm Pilot Personal)

Summary: Outstanding deal for the price.
Review: For [the price] you cannot go wrong with this PDA. Although it only has 8 meg RAM, the 320x320 display is considerably sharper than the display on the more expensive Clie's and Palm's with more memory. It's small size allows it to fit perfectly within a shirt or pants pocket, something I could never do with my Pocket PC. Although it lacks MP3 ability the price difference from the Clie's with MP3 capability is enough that you can buy a seperate MP3 player and still have money left over for a good memory stick. This PDA also "feels" more sturdy than Palm's models of similar price. If you are looking for a great PDA at a low price then this is the one for you.

Summary: Not bad for [the money]
Review: The Sony Clie SL10 is great! You get all the basic palm functions, sony software, andmore for a low price! It's small size makes it ideal for travel, as do the need for 2 AAA batteries. It's convienient and practical with the day-planner software. And with the Memory Stick expansion slot, you can add up to 128 megabytes of removable memory!

Summary: Great PDA...Disadvantages though
Review: I bought this PDA a few months after it was released. I was happy with it except a few things. I didn't like that it was B&W or that is was not rechargable. There was alot todo with it until almost all the pda's on the market went Color then the software was limited. I really like the functionality and the features. But now I have updated. I would recomment going for the Song SJ22 for a little more money. Tis color and recharagable and alot more funtional.

Summary: Combines Basic Organizer Functions With A Hi-Res B/W Display
Review: This is the third PDA I've owned, but my first CLIE. After my Palm Vx's screen broke, I decided to upgrade to the color Palm m130. About 6 months later it stopped functioning and I decided to just forget about returning it and throw it out because I really didn't like it all that much anyway. So I decided to shop for a third PDA. I wanted something small, light, and inexpensive. Something to use just as an organizer. I was thinking about a Palm Zire, but while looking on eBay I found the CLIE PEG-SL10 in brand-new condition for half the price. I bought it, and was pleasently suprised at what I got. I didn't know when I bought it that it used AAA batteries instead of rechargables. I was a little dissapointed at first, but I found later when going on vacation it was much easier to bring an extra set of batteries than a charger cable. The high-resolution display is great. Text comes out clear and easy to read. I sort of miss the color display of my old m130, but the hi-res makes up for that. The included 8MB of RAM is more than enough for storing contacts, memos, and datebook entries. I even had enough room left for JPEG pictures I transferred from my computer using the included software. While I never bought a memory stick to expand the memory, that feature would be useful for people who want to store photos, video (with included gMovie software), or games. While it comes with dozens of applications on the CD, almost all are trial versions or shareware. It does, however, include streetfinder with one free map download. It takes up a lot of memory (around 2MB for program and map), but is very useful. It also includes powerOne personal, which is an upgrade to the included calcualtor and includes more features. It's been about 6 months since I bought this PDA. I'm now thinking of upgrading to a Tungsten C to take advantage of my new WI-FI home network. This PDA was great and I haven't really had any problems with it. I would not suggest this to anyone who needs a PDA for music, movies, internet, or games. This is a very basic PDA with some more advanced features. Overall, it is a great investment for anyone who needs a inexpensive, basic PDA.
