Rating: Summary: Good but subtly dissapointing... Review: While handspring is all about how they offer one of the most expandable PDA's on the market, the edge falls a bit short. The overall functionality of this product is excellent. It's easy to use, and small and light. However what dissapoints me just the slightest bit is how there are few acessories compatable with the Edge (due to the shape that differs from the rest of the Visor line). First off, the stylus is of a compleatly differant design than the rest of the Handspring styluses, creating a problem if you need to buy more in a pinch. I have also discovered that many of the availiable accesories that i would find convenient are incompatable with the edge. (specifically the Targus folding keyboard) But don't let that get you down. It is still impressively easy to use with common sense control. It has more storage space that I would probably ever need (8M is alot). Installation of the desktop computer based software is straight forward as well (the familiar windows wizard starts automatically from the CD). Synchronyzing the data between the handheld and your desktop is literally a one button ordeal. However, with the "sleek aluminum case" accesory (adds considerable protection) the handheld does not sit on the cradle as it claims to allow. But the investment in this accessory is worth it, as it adds the strength to resist a sitting-on. Even with the slight downfall of (currently) limited expandability, it is still an increadibly useful tool, to the student, business person, or just plain old busy person.
