Summary: This is a great tool for busy people! User Friendly!
Review: This is an excellent product for people with very busy schedules and lots of dates and appointments to keep up with. Before getting the Palm m105. I carried a huge organizer around and still missed many important appointments. After missing my daughter's dental appointment twice, I decided I needed a better method for remembering important dates. I'm a wife, mother, grad student and a full-time professional. This palm keeps track of everything! It has saved my life! If you intend to use your Palm primarily for keeping up with important dates, numbers and events, addresses, It is not necessary to purchase a more expensive Palm.

Summary: Excellent to begin with PDA's
Review: The M105 is an excellent choice to organize and keep track of tasks, meetings, and telephones. A lot of programs can be downloaded from the Web. The graffiti is very fast compared to Pocket PC PDA's. I am happy with it.

Review: Don't get it if you have bad eyes.
My eyes aren't all that good, so this unit is a bit annoying to me. If you compare it some of the other units, you will definitely see the difference. The only reason I picked this over the Visor was the newer OS that was on it. It also feels very flimsy, and the flip seems very very fragile.

There is nothing wrong with the unit in terms of fuctionality. If you can live with the above, then buy it.

Summary: First off I could never love you
Review: When I first opened the box all i can say is I felt comfurtably numb. The power cuff link is a little weak for my liking but over all it's a great buy. When I turn this thing on I feel like I could sneak up on you like a sniper at your back door. I mean what can't this thing do? With this thing in my pocket I spreads butter like parkay real smooth with the flow. Check that!!

Summary: Excellent option
Review: I had a Palm III for 2 years before buying this one (Palm m105). Although the screen is smaller than that of the Palm III, I haven't found much trouble getting used to it. One thing that shocked me was to find out that the mail application is sold separately - although I don't use it.
I give the Palm m105 a five start rating because of the costs/benefits rate, the design, its memory capacity and the simplicity to use.
A good choice for those who need an entry level PDA that has lots of capacity, is easy to use and affordable.

Summary: for bottom of the line... it doesn't get much better
Review: If you are looking for a inexpensive PDA just a step down from the big dogs this is it! I am a college student and have had this palm for a month and can't imagine how I got along without it. Numbers that I used to keep on scraps of paper are all n one place, email addresses in one handy, portable database, to do lists, birthday reminders, and with 4.0 student I can even keep track of my classes, my grades, and assignments due. This is the perfect model for a student: The goods to organize your chaotic life, with enough bells and wistles to make your PDA-less friends worship you.

Summary: A power-user tip
Review: I found a neat trick that I thought I'd pass on.

I noticed that in the built-in apps such as the To Do list, Memopad, and even the Datebook, if you pull down the Options menu, you'll find the selection, "phone lookup."

This is useful if you create, say, a To Do list item that says, "Call John Smith about current account." Using this feature, you can pop over to your phone book, look up John's number, and then cancel out of the phone book app and go back to the To Do list, Memopad, or whatever.

However, there is a little trick to this that makes it work much better. The trick is to position the cursor after the person's name you want to look up, before you tap on "phone lookup. This way you will be popped right to the person's name in the database, instead of having to look further from there.

Summary: Good job Palm!
Review: This is a very nice PDA from Palm in an affordable price. It is handy, solid and it has all the necessary programs, moreover it has enough memory to download many programs of your choice. I could not find any significant cons. of this Palm m105. I liked the small size of it which makes it easier to keep it with me wherever I go. I am a college student and I wish to keep using something like this in the future. My final word to the reviewer is: "It is a good buy."

Summary: this thing is the end to all boredom!
Review: completely worth the money! the 8 megs of memory are wonderful. i now have a total of 110 apps on my m105, including the basics that came with it; several very helpful utilities like x-master, diddlebug, and besafe; a total of 43 games; and loads of amusing, useless things that get me through assemblys, study halls, and physics class (i am a junior in high school). and, after hotsyncing these 100+ apps, i still have over a meg of memory! my palm m105 and the many online websites for outside apps have saved me. small screen? who CARES? in addition, the thing is indestructible. it's been drowned in a river, knocked around in my bookbag and locker, and dropped on various things including rocks, tile floors, and cement from a distance ... AND IT STILL WORKS PERFECTLY!

Summary: Ideal for Students
Review: I have had this pda for about a week. The major upgrades from the palm m100 are the 2mb (you can store nothing but whats already on the pda with that much)to 8 mb (with 8mb I can run AvantGo, a financial program, 5 games, the Franklin Covey software suite and i still have half of my memory left). Although it only has a 30 mhz processer, it runs as quick as the Windows, I heard, because of the inefficiency of Windows programs. It has the following pros: -Simple to use. -The sync is very easy (anyone who thinks its hard is sad because I'm only 13) Cons: -The touch with the stylus on the screen is not the best. -The graffiti is not always easy to use. -The wireless internet works with only like 25 phones out there, however, their are cables, I believe, that you can hookup your phone and palm. Although there are more cons than pros, the pros are strong, big deals, while the cons are little details. If you need to access the internet wirelessly from anywhere, I would not suggest this PDA, you would need a higher, more expensive Palm for that. This palm is Ideal for a college, high school, or middle school student wanting a PDA. The reason I gave it 4 stars, it isn't the best of the best. If you are in a high corperate possition, the m505 sounds good. :)
