Rating: Summary: Bad Customer Service Review: The software CD that came with my m105 didn't work. I called Palm's customer care number and was told to call their technical support number which told me to call their customer care number. I begged, I pleaded, but I was told there was nothing they could do: they refused to replace my defective disk. It is true you can download the Palm Desktop software from the internet, but it makes me angry that they sold me, and refused to replace, a CD that doesn't work. Also, Palm's customer support doesn't seem to work very well: people are uninformed and apathetic. Palm's customer support makes me wonder what else doesn't work all that well in their company.
Rating: Summary: Workhorse Review: I bought two for my wife and me, and it has simplified coordinating our schedules immensely. We are both physicians, so we have some significant applications loaded (ePocrates) and still have plenty of memory left. Our only problem is our kids are on them constantly playing the games (solution: rechargeable batteries). While higher number Palms are expandable, for us, the m105 is the sweet spot in the spectrum for value and utility.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Product Review: In my desperate attempt to oraganize my life I bought the Palm m105. I knew paper would never work for me, and a new 'toy' was the only way I had a chance. I love it. It works great and stores plenty of information. I think the faceplate it comes with is fine, but there are many choices out there for the more trendy user. My only complaint is the cost of the cable that hooks to your cell phone so you can check your email and surf the web on your Palm is outrageously priced. I'll buy it when it comes down a bit, I need to break my email addiction anyhow. If you're thinking of buying a Palm this is the perfect choice for the average user.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Product Review: This palm pilot is great and pretty much all you need unless you store massive amounts of data. Plus you can download tons of really useful software for it.
Rating: Summary: Santa brought me a palm m105 and I Love It! Review: I asked for a palm for Christmas. Didn't specify a brand or any particulars other than needing 8 megs because I wanted to be able to download some information from the net. Santa bought me the Palm m105 and I love it. It was very easy to learn to operate. I have downloaded files from the net that I need for school (and some games that I really don't need). The download went smoothly each and every time. If someone were looking for a starter Palm, the m105 would definitely be the one to purchase.
Rating: Summary: Easy to use. Great starter hand held. Review: I got my m105 as a Christmas present. I did not know if I would really use such a device so I never bought one for myself. Now that I have one I really like it. It is simple to use and synchs up with my e-mail and my contact manager. And it only took me a few minutes to use it like a pro. Now that I have started using it so much my only concern is the build quality. It looks very flimsy. I am afraid that over the long haul it will fail. One problem I already had was with the batteries. It uses normal AAA alkaline batteries. The batteries must have gotten shook up just slightly enough to lose contact in my pocket and I lost all my data. I took the back cover off and jiggled the batteries and it worked fine again but I had to reload my data. Very annoying! My co-worker has an IBM hand held. It has a much more rugged metal case and uses a rechargeable lithium battery pack. However, his was more than twice as expensive and it has mostly the same electronic features. B/W display 8M memory etc.
Rating: Summary: Broke in two weeks. Review: I am an avid electronics fan, but for some reason PDAs were never on my radar. As a birthday present my mom gave me the M105, and after spending two days with it, I was hooked. After two weeks, however, my M105 simply died. I never dropped it, or anything. I had to do a hard reset to restart it, and HotSync all the data. It lasted two days, and then died again. So I once again performed a hard reset, and while HotSyncing, it died again and has refused to come back on. I know the batteries are not dead, as I had monitored their level. So, my opinion is that Palm is crap. Now that I a used to having a PDA, I am going to replace it with a Sony Clie PEG-S320.
Rating: Summary: Palm m100 Review: Over all I am very pleased with the m100. I changed over from a paper based system, so this is my first Palm type I ever used. I was able to transfer hundreds of names, address and phone numbers from my computer program, SideKick to the m100 with no problems. There was very little ajustments needed and it did not take more then 15 menutes to transfer and ajust. I found that the graffiti writing is very slow. Or at lest in my case the learning curve is very steep. The only thing I do not like about the m100 is the cover. The cover hinge is not strong and if you try and flip it closed, it may go flying accross the room. Other then that I love it.
Rating: Summary: your prices Review: price to high you can buy same exate one at best buy same price and they give you a 19.95 free case you can take it home with you
Rating: Summary: Crummy Review: I just bought this and after spending way too much time on entering data, the screen got stuck and I had to do a hard reset and it continued to stick at that one spot not to mention the fact that all the data I had entered was gone. Needless to say, I am not impressed and the thing is going back to the store. It has left me with such a bad impression of this type of device that I'm going back to paper calendars, lists, etc. I was really hoping it would work out. Don't waste your money.
