Summary: If you can use all of its features, its perfect.
Review: This palm is by no means for a hobbiest; its a real business tool. Its sturdy and is impossible to break. The HotSync and the charging features are the best! I recommend this product to any businessman/businesswoman.

Summary: Palm V is not as good at palm IIIx or Palm VII or windows ce
Review: Palm V looks nice, that's all. The Palm IIIx is better, stronger, doesn't turn on in your pocket and run out of battery life. The Palm VII can get you on the net (in abbreviated form) without wires anywhere (almost) anytime. So why would anyone buy the Palm V? Also, all the color windows ce palm-sized devices are also better than the palm V. The Jornada by HP and the new Cassiopea (a real powerhouse of a machine) both outstrip the Palm V. So, if you want to buy a palm device, buy the Palm IIIx if price is important to you, buy the Palm VII is the net is important to you, or buy a windows ce color device if color is important to you but don't for any reason buy a Palm V.

Summary: Small, dear, less powerful than IIIx
Review: Bought Palm V and was disappointed to learn that Palm IIIX is more powerful. It is very small and easy to use. Leather cover does not prevent buttons being pressed in your pocket. For a mere $40 can buy keyguard similar to what comes on $10 calculators. Palm VII only offers connectivity but costs quite a bit to stay connected so only buy if someone else pays your connection fee. Overall very nice to use but needs a key guard for less than $40.

Summary: SO EASY TO USE!
Review: Someone gave me the Palm V as a gift and I am so grateful! If you have been wondering if you should break down and buy one---do it!

Summary: A definitive best buy
Review: If there's anything else you should buy this year to help your productivity, buy the Palm V. It's not only better looking than the rest of the Palm line, it's chock full of tons of useful features. To think...a couple months ago, I was still lugging around my 5 pound Day Timer. I use my Palm V for everything from checking my email to checking movie showtime the stories from the NY Times front page, etc. There are many developers of software for the Palm that are easily downloadable (for free) on the web. There are programs for virtually anything. Things from weight managment to wine tasting. The Palm V is the best organizer anywhere. Period.

Summary: Handy
Review: I was reluctant to buy a Palm device because of the high geek quotient, but as my calendar became unmanageable, I began to think about getting a handheld device that would synchronize addresses and schedule information.

I really like the Palm V's size. It cuts down on the geek quotient and it can fit in my back pocket, making it more likely that I will take it with me.

Summary: I love mine!
Review: I had one of the earlier Palm Organizers. There is no comparison between the earlier versions and this one. This one is the best! I never go anywhere without it.

Summary: It's FANTASTIC, but....
Review: Folks: I'm sold on the Palm V, but I'm still using my old 128K Sharp Wizard. Wouldn't it be better to jump on the 3Com bandwagon by going ahead and buying a Palm VII?? Thought? Guidance? Drop me a note: rosselle@mindspring.com

Summary: A life-saver!
Review: I've had my Palm V for two days now, and let me tell you all what a miracle it is! I'm the typical disorganized professional with 10 different address books and 4 versions (electronic and paper) of my calendar. However, now I can synchronize all of this in 30 seconds and actually make the scattered information coherent with literally ONE touch of a button!

Definitely worth the few hundred bucks in the time and stress you'll save. Although some people will complain that the Palm V isn't upgradable, most people will never have to worry about running out of space.

And the sexiness of the casing and the bright, clear screen goes without saying!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Most handy PDA available
Review: In addition to being easy to use (like all the other Palm devices) it is incredibly thin and sturdy. I carry mine in my back pants pocket! Very easy to read LCD screen in most lighting conditions; especially outside or in the car. Backlight seems useless (which is why I can't give it 5 stars)
