Rating: Summary: Not very Mac compatible Review: Being a Newton devotee, switching to the Palm V was rather traumatic. However, I can not argue with the size and convenience. It is not very compatible with the Mac format, however, and I have as yet to find out how to download programs from the desktop to the unit. The writing recognition takes a bit of getting used to, however, the convenience far outweighs the minor limitations of the writing recognition system.
Rating: Summary: Every thing you've been waiting for in an electronic organiz Review: When the first elect. orgz. appeared 10 years ago I was excited. The problem was loss of data (which I experienced on 3 sep. org. Now, with the synchr. feature my data is safe.
Rating: Summary: Have PalmIII, travel lots, cannot always find cord to rechg Review: I must admit I am a true believer in the PalmIII. It carries my life and keeps me on schedule and current. BUT to upgrade to the V I have a MAJOR concern about the rechargable aspect. I travel a lot and many times would have to go several weeks without being able to charge but I can replace batteries. Some how I need to be made aware as to how to accommodate this concern.
Rating: Summary: If you already have a Palm, save your $. Review: I have a Palm Pro (for about 2 years), am highly computer literate, but see no reason to upgrade what I already have. If you want a superb scheduler, to-do list, contact list and connectivity with many PC applications, save your $ and look for a Palm Pro or Palm 3.
Rating: Summary: Question about it! Review: I would like to have my boss use the Palm Pilot but he uses OnTime as his calendar program at the office. Will the Palm Pilot accept this program so I don't have to input a duplicate of the computer's schedule to the Palm Pilot? I don't want to make extra work for myself. It'd be a big plus if the Palm Pilot had this capability. Please let me know...Thanks.
Rating: Summary: Great in combination with MacOS Review: The Palm V works perfectly with Macintosh. No wonder Steve Jobs wanted to buy Palm. Great product.
Rating: Summary: Love it! Works perfectly; Graffiti is easy and flawless! Review: I love my Palm V. It performs beautifully and operation is very intuitive. I picked up the Graffiti writing style in 2 minutes, and the Palm V reads the letters flawlessly. It was very difficult to sync up with MS Outlook on my computer; needed help from a pro, and it took him 4 hours!! But now that it's done, it works perfectly. One hint: It will copy everything in your mailbox, calendar, and to-do list, so if you store old info in there, clean it up before you hotlink. I'm a gadget junkie and am usually a little disappointed with performance. Not this time! Buy it.
Rating: Summary: It is really a good product. Review: The palm III is hugh and bulkly. The palm V costs more but I feel that it was worth the money I paid for it. I feel more organized than ever and Have not lost a number and have sold many others on the idea of the Palm. The size and screen are the big selling points with me. The many programs like the database, make work so much easier and I use less paprer.
Rating: Summary: Excellent for organizing your life Review: I am ADD through and through - my Palm device has helped me organize my life. To be honest, it has changed my life - I feel more in control of events - planning - projects, etc. I keep everything in it. Before buying my Palm III, I looked at the CE machines. The short battery life and normal annoying complexities of other MS products prevented me from buying one. My Palm PDA is perfect - simple, easy to use, hot synchable with Outlook, thousands of programs, small, and the batteries last for weeks instead of days. If you want a PDA and not a handheld PC (with all of the problems associated), this is your machine.
Rating: Summary: this PDA is bubonic Review: This is the most bubonic PDA I have laid my greasy little finger's on. I personally recommend it to anyone out there that needs to keep tabs on their weight. One can have it remind one's self when to eat. That would be for all the "little" people out there.
