Summary: Palm m125
Review: I returned three defective 125's in three weeks. The tapping function on the lower left of the screen stopped working on two palms. The third one would not turn on and once it did , all of my data was deleted. I think that the integrity and the quality of the hardware is poor to say the least. However, the software function was excellent and easy to use. I was very disappointed that the product was defective. I suggest spending a little more and going to the SONY CLIE PEG-T415. It is an excellent PEO and worth every penny.

Summary: Nothing more, nothing less than I needed - Perfect!
Review: I had resisted buying a PDA for a very long time. But finally trying to keep up with work, family, and Ph.D. classes without one seemed foolish. I wanted something that I could pull out of the box and use - I spend enough time studying! The PALM M125 was exactly that. Now I won't have to rely on luck to be where I am supposed to be!

Summary: Screen too small
Review: This unit performs well, and would be a decent value for the price if not for the screen size. Take one look at a Visor compared to this unit, and you will see what I mean

Summary: a student consumer's opinion
Review: i feel as though, being a student, the palm m125 is perfect for me. It has aol which is the new thing on the internet, and i also and very happy that it has things like word and exel. If i go away and i need to do a report, i can do one whenever and wherever i want with this handheld pc. Its great!

Summary: SUV of Palms
Review: Great comfort (I maintain that the Palm m100s have the most ergonomic design out there), great speed, great screen (it's a "palm"-held, so I don't mind the small screen) with great clarity, love the Vindigo software, but TERRIBLE MILEAGE. Cannot believe how fast this thing eats batteries. Should it really cost [this much] more for a model with an internal, rechargeable battery?

Summary: So/So
Review: I stepped up to the M125 from the M100 because I was so pleased with the ease of use and performance of the 100 as my entry level palm. I was attracted to the M125 due to the expansion cards. I have been disappointed on two (major) counts. First, the size of the screen makes it difficult for me to easily see what's there (I'm over 50 - so the problem may be with my internal program), a problem I did not have with the M100. I compared the two screens and the M100's is just large enough to make a difference to me. The second performance factor I am unhappy with is that I have to keep recalibrating for accuracy with the stylus and it is just not as accurate as the M100 is. Part of THAT problem may be the screen size, but in general I "miss lines" and it often backspaces when I'm moving it to forward. I used the backup expansion card and that went so smoothly I almost thought it didn't work.
I would not buy this machine again. Since I want the expansion card, I'll probably go up to a 500 so I can easily read the screen. If the expansion is not tempting and you're looking for a way into the PDA world, the M100 is a far better way to go.

Summary: Extremly BAD
Review: palm m100 and m105 are way better you are probably thinking this is another thing from a idiot but trust me it wont read graffiti well like the higher or lower models.also the card feature is bad because it has only so many things you can put on the 16 mb card for ex. some programs can only go on the card and so you will have to take up the memory on the palm and why because part of the reason you bought this model is because it has the card feature and if you are not going to use the card than just buy the m105 which has the same amount of memory as m125 just not the card. so listen to me don't read other reviews you will regret buying this item because of the many flaws.

Summary: A great tool for the PDA novice
Review: I've had my m125 for about a month now and it has instantly become a useful part of my daily life. The Palm OS is very user friendly that any technophobia will easily be overcome. This specific product is also so loaded with programs and features, along with the potential to easily add several third-party software tools that you'll constantly be discovering new uses within this small device.

The reason I chose the m125 over others is because of its outstanding price for the value and features it comes with (...). It has many of the same features that the m500 series has but for slightly more than the cost of the m105. The m105 may be fine for most people, but the m125 will grow with you for a while as it has an expandable slot and internet capability. The size and shape is also very nice and less bulky than the Handsprings within the same price range.

One frustrating thing I have discovered with owning a m125 however is the support for accessories. For whatever reason, Palm barely contains specific info for this model in many of its catalogues. The m125 also falls into a weird category as its shape and size makes it compatible with most m100 cases, however for things like hotsync cables and stylus you need to use m500's accessories. Because of this, shopping for add-ons can be a little confusing and require extra research.

Another negative feature with this specific model is the poor battery life. The m125 requires 2 AAA batteries (included), however they only last aprox. 2.5 weeks under normal use (compared to the 1-2 months of the m105 and most other PDA's). I did invest in some rechargeable AAA's to solve this problem, but it is annoying to keep changing batteries so frequently.

There is a nice backlight feature (hold down the power button) that allows you to use this model in the dark (also available on the m100 and m105). I found this out by accident as the manuals included only give you the basics to get you up and running. The more you play with this device, you'll soon find several options that help make this very user friendly and customizable to your personal style.

Overall, I am very happy with my m125. It is durable, compact, and has helped make my life instantly more organized. (along with nice spoils like avantgo downloaded webpages of news, weather, and more....and a great game of Othello). At first, my wife complained that I got myself this new toy....now after she's used it, she has me shopping to get her one of her own.

If you are looking to get a PDA to help organize your life and do not consider yourself a "techno-nerd" or "power-user", the M125 is perfect for you.

Summary: Good Deal!!!
Review: It's very good for its features and price. If you don't think a bigger screen is mandatory you get all m500 job done and with a nicer look. Palm and accessories sellers should have a section on m125 to make finding and fitting stuff less confusing and easier.

Summary: A Rough Fit
Review: Beware of how the sharp edges of the expansion card on the side ruin the smooth feel of the m125 in your hand.
