Rating: Summary: Husband loves it Review: I got this for my husband for Christmas and he just loves it. It's not super fancy, but that's not what he needs. First he thought it was just a gadget, now he carries it everywhere!
Rating: Summary: Does what its supposed to do, for a great price. Review: Its a PDA, not a gameboy. So far, after using it intensively for two months, its "downsides" haven't been a problem. I though I'd miss the backlight, but I haven't yet. 2MB is plenty for basic PDA stuff. Its survived a 4 foot drop to a hardwood floor, without damage. If you don't like white, there is a blue special edition version available. If you want something to keep your addressbook and calendar, in a nice clean package, for a really cheap price, this is it.
Rating: Summary: Never got the chance Review: I ordered this and then cancelled my order after I played with it in the store. It has a very small screen and is hard to read. The color is also white, which I thought was pretty tacky. I ended up getting the Sony Clie and I love it... much better!!
Rating: Summary: Inexpensive and durable!! Review: The Zire has really helped keep me organized. It is a good starting place if you're interested in PDAs. I accidentally dropped it outside during a rainstorm and didn't find it until the next morning. I thought it was ruined because it wouldn't turn on. I went home and tried to charge it up. An hour later I checked it and what do ya know...it worked!! It reset all of my info. Luckily I had most of it backed up on my computer. So make sure you sync it everyday or at least on every couple of days. All in all this a great product for the money you will pay for it.
Rating: Summary: Zire Palm Review Review: I do not recommend this product. This is my second Zire, the first one I had less than a month, so I could exchange it. When I tapped the stylus, it would not respond or it would bring up the wrong item...very frustrating. I have had this Zire about 4 months (not returnable) and the same thing is happening. I also would like it back-lit, it's hard to read in dim light. I am very very angry, I had gotten it to replace my address/appointment book. Save your money.
Rating: Summary: Broke after 100 days! Pathetic warranty! Review: Hey. I am obsessed with gadgets so my parents got me this for my birthday. It was so cool. I kept track of all my chores, school schedules, phone numbers, and could play games. It ruled. [bad] as it is, this palm only has a 90-day warranty. After about 100 days, mine stopped working. Totally died! ... So save your money, and buy something better!
Rating: Summary: Great While it Worked, But Died After 5 Months Review: Well, the price for a rechargeable Palm seemed to good to be true...it was. This WAS a great PDA, with many features found in far higher priced handhelds, but it is of no use now that it has simply died after 5 months with no warning. Palm's warranty is a short 90 days, which says a lot about how long THEY thought it might last. Next time, I guess I'll have to look at the warranty in making a purchase decision
Rating: Summary: Great Product Review: Palm Zire is great, software loads on PC for ease of data entry. USB cable supplied downloads to unit, can be edited very easy with unit or on PC then download updates. I never dreamed how easy and fun this product could be. Found it on Amazon in used section but several sellers had them brand new at used prices. I paid only $ for it brand new in original sealed factory package. This product is worth more than $, even my friend who can barely use computers mastered the Palm Zire in 5 minutes. Rechargable battery lasts a long time, comes with recharger. These thing are better than sliced bread!
Rating: Summary: Palm Zire Review: I received a free Zire with a Dell PC I purchased. After turning it on and looking at it, I couldn't figure out what it's good for. No backlight, font too small to read...what do you do with this thing? No wonder they're giving them away. Give me my pad and pencil!
Rating: Summary: A Great Beginner's PDA Review: I use Palm Pilots regularly at work, so I have some experience with them. This Palm is great for the cost.Good points: Rechargeable battery lasts quite a long time, economical, compact, and I have had no problems with it yet. Bad points: Comes with a floppy plastic flip cover which is somewhat of a pain to remove from the back, only connects to computer via USB instead of allowing a cradle, only has 2MB memory (even though I haven't run out yet), is not color, and if you want a keyboard, you have to get one which operates through infrared technology to work. All in all, this is a good value for your money. If you want to have a lot of programs on it or store a lot of information, you might be better off getting one with a memory card slot or more memory built in. But if you want a basic memo pad, address book, appointment reminder, portable game system, etc., this is the Palm for you.
