Summary: Excelente PDA

- Doc to Go: Syncronizar Word, Excel y Powerpoint.

Summary: Don't waste your $$!
Review: I ALSO have had problems with my T3 - it was bought for me as a gift and it initially worked fine right out of the box for about 3 days, then one day I turned it on and all my hotsynced material was no longer there. I re-hotsynced and then a few days later the screen froze on me. Unfortunately I opened the gift greater than 30 days from the purchase date so the store would not accept it as a return and replace it. I called Palm tech support and they suggested I send it in for it to be repaired. I did this. When I received my "repaired" T3, the PDA wouldn't even turn on. I called tech support again and this time I dealt with a rude man named Wes and they again refused to refund my $ or give me a new T3. He said he'd send me a refurbished T3 (which you can buy on the PalmOne.com website for $100 less than the retail price!). I had no choice but to go along with this. I've received my "refurbished" T3 and unfortunately this one won't charge. Well, actually I initially tried to charge it and left it in the cradle for 24 hours and it never charged. The charging light never turned on and the battery indicator remained about 50% full. The following night I unplugged/replugged the device and placed it in the cradle again and to my amazement the charging power light turned on. Unfortunalty when I took it out of the cradle 12 hours later the battery indicator had moved from about 50% full to 75% full. Hmmmm... and I didn't have a power outage overnight. Basically I'm thoroughly unimpressed and I'm now writing a letter to the President seeking my $ back.

Summary: Truly Customizable
Review: This is a truly wonderful Palm. I find a new piece of software for it every day. I own a iMac, and found it to work just fine with it, but the one interface problem I found was that you cannot sync you're Email to it, like you can on a windows based PC. other than that, it all works great. I have also enjoyed the use of Avant Go, which, using the "MAL Conduit" (...) I can EAISLY sync with Avant Go, and it works great. To find the best software, at the best price there is, I found FreewarePalm.com to have the most free software anywhere, and I have absolutely no purchased software for my Palm yet. The sound quality to be just as good as a CD player, and the only reason I have not bought a iPod yet is because this sounds so good, the only reason I would want one would be if I wanted more memory, and 512 MB is good enough for me. I find it very handy at school, where I can keep track of homework in the to-do's and have a detailed calendar, along with me being able to type my papers in class. That way, I can just print them at home, saving me a lot of time. I can also listen to my music on the bus ride home. Overall I love this handheld, and just can't wait to see what Pa1m will come up with next!

Pros: Truly amazing piece of technology.
Cons: Battery life could be improved, but works fine for me, absolutely no mail Conduit to sync Email from the desktop for Macs.

Summary: Keep the CD in a safe place and re-learn graffiti
Review: This Palm uses a new flavor of Grafitti, which is giving me fits. There's no way to use the old version.

The installation CD is essential if you ever need to reinstall the software. I had a system crash, and though I could get the desktop software from the Palm web site, I could not reinstall the Outlook-synchronization conduit. To do this, you must have the original CD, which I've lost. Palm wants $25 just to talk to tech support and more $$$ to get a copy of the installation CD. You cannot get a CD via email tech support.

Summary: Not Good Enough! Unreliable!
Review: I bought my Tungsten T3 last 8 April 2004 in Fresno. The T3 should have been a fine gadget if not for its unreliability. Also, the lower portion of the screen of the unit I bought is somewhat darker or has uneven lighting. I wrote to Palm Support and even though the response was quick, the suggested remedy did not work. Today, less than one month after purchase, I found my almost fully charged T3 just froze. When it was reset, it just stayed dead. I went home after work and charged the unit. While the battery did charge, the battery also drained in just a few minutes - one or two from 100% to low bat. Its a pity because the T3 was a powerful tool. The MP3 player was a nice feature and so was Kinoma for videos. Palm should solve these problems. I read from the reviews that these units can be unreliable. I took a bet and I guess I lost. I wrote to Palm and will be waiting for their reply. Based on what I read, I shouldn't expect much. By the way, I paid $399 plus tax for this.

Summary: WOW - 10 plus many many more stars
Review: I say again WOW. I was using a m515 and was unhappy with the memory and display. Just brought the t3 and WOW. The change from the m515 to the t3 is like black and white. I also installed the zlauncher and handbase. I love the display, each of use, speed and storage. IN fact there is nothing I do not hate about the T3. The contruction of the T3 sturdier than the m515. All of my m515 gadgets work with the t3 with updated drivers. Make sure you do not restore the backup from your older PDA because there will be some conflicts.

GREAT PRODUCT THANKS PALMONE.

Summary: An Easy Transition from PPC, to Palm with the T3
Review: My ipaq 3870 broke and I needed a replacement and have oogled over the screen on the T3. And let me say it is just as wonderful as I thought it would be.

Frankly the T3 and Palm os 5 are just awesome. I had to reset my ipaq at least once a week and I have only had to reset the T3 once in the past 3 months. It's SOOOO much faster than my old ipaq, and even the current 2215 and 1945's. It loads up apps as if they were just native in the OS, even from the storage card.

I use the T3 to bluetooth connect to my T610 and it works like butter. There was no question on how to set it up, all the stuff is right there for it. And it works EVERY time, unlike the ipaq that only worked half the time and stupid Pocket IE is SLOW, whereas Web Pro is like lightning.

I even managed to find a good database replacement, which did take a while to convert from Data on the Run to MobileDB, but it works even better than the PPC.

My only reluctancy to buying this was the battery life. I'll admit, I'm yet to give it the mp3/video test, but for reading e-books and using it for note taking and database entry, it's lasted for a solid week without charging (probably 4 hours or so). Not too shabby.

All in all...buy it. Screw PPC.

Summary: Do not buy this junk from this unreliable company
Review: After one week the screen doesn't work, the back plate is loose, and the nice Indian gentlemen who answer your calls tell you that PalmOne will not give you a new Tungsten T3 to replace the lemon you received from them. The concept of this handheld is wonderful, but the shoddy manufacture and the stiff arm from the manufacturer make this an utterly unacceptable alternative. Not only would I recommend that you steer clear of the T3, but I also recommend that you steer clear of PalmOne. Their name should be PalmNothing.

Summary: T3 sets a new standard
Review: I ungraded from a Palm M500 to the Tungsten T3, which I ordered from Amazon.com, using Super Saver shipping. It arrived six days later; I charged the battery, turned it on, and it has functioned perfectly since. An incompatible third-party application caused a "Fatal Error"; having been disappointed with that application anyway, I deleted it - no loss.

The beautiful stretch display is even better than reviewers had led me to expect. It is a little bright for my old eyes, so I turned it down, and it is not only very easy on the eyes, it will reduce power consumption. The landscape display option is a great asset for my uses, and well worth whatever it might have cost.

Processing speed is all that is promised. I would occasionally wonder whether the M500 was still running in searches, which it always was, but the T3 delivers results instantly, without fail.

I have been using PrintBoy software, and neither my printers nor my laptop have Blue Tooth capability without additional expense. PrintBoy installed perfectly on the T3, providing seamless changeover to the new PDA.

The voice recorder seemed to be an unneeded frill to me, until I used it a few times. It is a definite asset, as I no longer need to carry a recorder.

WiFi is of no use to me, and the added cost might have deterred me from buying the T3.

Battery life could be better, but my work demands a lot of time in my car, and the car charger will take care of this minor detail.

The price seemed high until I experienced the Tungsten T3. The great display, added memory, processing speed, packaged software, and overall feel of a quality product justify the cost.
