Summary: Do not buy this phone
Review: Buy this phone if you want to use the phone for only 2 minutes, because after that the battery discharges.

Summary: Outstanding Panasonic 2 line cordless phone!
Review: I am very surprised to read negative reviews for this phone. I have had it for over a year and have been completely satisfied. Even my elderly parents with poor hearing say they hear me great when I speak on this phone. Just be sure to place it back on the docking station after you complete your calls, so it can recharge. I highly recommend this phone.

Summary: Defective and Defective Again
Review: I bought this phone last night. Audio was choppy. Charged the battery overnight. Audio still choppy. Moved base unit. No difference. Replaced cables. No difference. Put my old phone, also a Panasonic gigarange, different model, back on line - to make sure it wasn't a problem with my phone lines. It wasn't. Exchanged the defective telephone for another this morning. The replacement was worse. Sound stutters rapidly making voices unintelligible. Snaps and pops too.

Summary: Do not buy this phone
Review: I own several 2.4 Ghz panasonic phones including two 1-line phones and a 2-line. My latest experience got me motivated to share a true test of their sturdy construction.

While wearing the belt clip, I went into my backyard to check on my swimming pool equipment. Leaning over the edge, I accidentally bumped the phone and knocked it into the water. Before I could grap it, it sunk to the bottom. After getting the net and fishing it off the 8-9 foot depth at the bottom, it stopped functioning (temporarily!!!)

That night, after removing the battery, shaking out all the water I could and setting it on a countertop to dry, I went to a local store to buy a replacement (this time a 2-line panasonic Model #KX-TG2267 (which has great fidelity, battery life, and general functionality.) I use these phones for my home office; they get intermittent use throughout the day, in an environment where my professionalism depends upon their performance.

After a day or so of partial function of the phone that went for a swim (after repeatedly shaking the water out of the phone by whirling it around in my hand), the phone is working exactly as it did prior to the incident. Now I know that these phones are advertised as "splashproof," but they are clearly not designed for a prolonged dunking at 8-9 foot of depth! Do not try this at home -- but mine survived!

Bottom line: They're not perfect, but a very solid, dependable product. As for their battery life, I've never had any problems ... by simply following the start-up charging instructions.

Summary: Battery problems are strange, but avoidable
Review: I recently acquired a 2.4Ghz Panasonic cordless phone after seeing one my parents have had the last 5 months and being very impressed with the features. I wanted to post this because I've seen the many reviews complaining of poor battery life.

My question for all the people experiencing problems: Did you leave the phone charging on the base unit while you weren't using it? If so, you should understand this. For whatever reason, these phones appear to be counterintuitively designed so that the battery lasts longer when NOT left on the base unit.

And in fact, my owner's manual for model KXZ-TG2355 states this under the Battery Information section: "If the battery is fully charged, you do not have to place the handset on the base unit until 'Recharge battery' is displayed and/or [the battery indicator] flashes. This will maximize battery life."

So although this is a very strange way of designing a phone (or a battery), it regardless is not something Panasonic doesn't address in its manual, and therefore it can be avoided. Don't leave the phone charging until it needs it! I hope this review will help balance the many complaints from people who advise against getting these phones because their batteries have inexplicably gone dead.

Summary: not a good choice
Review: I've had 2 panasonic phones and they were excellent, but this phone was returned in less than 1 week. I went against some of the reviews and decided to try the phone because of my good past experiences with panasonic. I don't know how this phone made it past quality control. The phone would suddenly decided not to ring and then ring on another five minutes later. We missed many calls and I found this to be an unreliable phone.

Summary: One of the best phones on the market!
Review: I, too, think this phone is terrific. Crisp, clear connections, sleek design, and all the latest features. I would prefer if it had an on/off switch, but other than that, I can't say enough great things about it. I'm actually purchasing a second one for our home!

Summary: Buyer beware
Review: If you purchase this product, I hope you are completely satisfied. It is my opinion that the reliability of Panasonic products has slipped in recent years, and this was confirmed to me when a product I purchased quickly failed. The reason I'm posting this is to warn you that the warranty that accompanies Panasonic products only has value if the company chooses to stand behind it. In my case, they weaseled out of it, leaving me with a total loss and no further recourse. Good luck with your decision.

Summary: worst phone ever existed on earth
Review: im really surprised to imagine what a cheapster has been made by a reputable company like panasonic. ill never buy a phone from panasonic after this. the phone is OKAY if u dont wanna talk more than 15 minutes in a day,but if u wanna use for long, then probably this is not the phone for you cos the battery will run out even before u pick up the phone while it's ringing.
