Rating: Summary: Good features but messes up my WAN Review: 2.4 GHz range is used by my WAN base station. Which makes it impossible for me to use both my phone and the WAN at the same time. This sux.
Rating: Summary: Great product Review: A definite thumbs up for these little gems.Pros: Great sound quality; no static; incredible range; nice, long battery life; caller-ID right on the unit itself Cons: Really difficult and time-consuming to program numbers; you can't transfer programmed numbers between units so you have to program everything twice; answering machine only holds 10 minutes worth of messages ... come now, memory is cheap, they could go at least 30 minutes I would think; your options for message length are a mere 60-seconds or no limit.
Rating: Summary: Full-featured and worth the price! Review: A full-featured communications system, well worth the price. It surpasses the competition in it's ease of use and clarity of tone. The vaguely written Owners Manuel could use a little help, but the straight forward engineering built into the system dosen't require that much explanation. Buy it!
Rating: Summary: Poor headset performance Review: Bought this phone because I needed a cordless speakerphone with mute for my home office. Headset performance is important. Returned it because the headset performance was very poor. I tried three different headsets on both of the two included handsets, and with all three headsets, the person on the other end cannot hear you unless unless you shout. Tried the same with my other cordless, an older 900mhz Panasonic (no mute), and it works fine without me having to raise my voice. Also bought and returned a Panasonic (KX-TG2237S, which has mute + other great features) because of poor battery life (have to put it back on the base after use or it will run out quickly with use). I've been a loyal Panasonic customer because of the sound quality. I'll have to find one with decent battery life. BTW, I don't use the phone more than 1hr per day, so the battery life was poor.
Rating: Summary: Uniden TRU4485-2 for a month Review: Good sound quality, reception, standby & talk time. One handset went out of order within a month. Cleaning the caller id was a pain because even the calls received had to be cleaned on both handsets separately. Uniden customer service was disappointing. I will not recommend it to anyone because it is not reliable and simply not worth the money.
Rating: Summary: Found it cheaper Review: I have not received this item yet. It is back ordered but a friend has one and I love it. [...]
Rating: Summary: Great Phone Review: I liked the performance of the phone. More over, it is the make from Uniden, a trusted phone. This phone has got all the features that I'm looking for. It would be the greatest phone if it has the battery bac-up power(when we lose power, the time has to be reset). Over all, I'm pleased with the performance and price of this phone.
Rating: Summary: Awkward handset with too much static Review: I purchased this phone and returned it after two days. Programming the two handsets and base station separately was tedious. Of greater concern, however, was the static and "tinny" sound from the handset. I found the layout of the handet to be too awkward -- especially the small "end" key needed to terminate calls. I upgraded to Uniden's newer model and have been thrilled! (Be aware that the base station of this model is not wall-mountable!)
Rating: Summary: DONT DO IT! STATIC CITY Review: I set this phone up yesterday and I am shipping it back today. The first thing I did when I recieved the phone was turnit on to check for static and it was terrible. That is what have based my review on. I have not explored all the options that the phone has as the static was all I need to hear and it was back in the box. So back to the search in hopes of finding a good cordless.
Rating: Summary: Uniden & Quality - words that don't go together. Review: I'm always on the phone, it's part of what I do best. *wink* My favorite little subby got Me this phone, although he didnt like it. I HAD TO HAVE IT. Pros: Adored the various ringer tones! Very lightweight, clipon for the cami-top, yay! Headset compatible, siemens didn't have this on the main phone I bought, I had to buy the extension just to use headset! Easy to read buttons, lights up! Easy to figure out... hey, very important. Try siemens 4200, then you'll appreciate this point!!! *grin* Cons: OH MY, I had to yell to be heard, and thought I needed a hearing aid to hear ANYONE!!! The worst reception! And honey, I don't have lots of appliances. I have the bare basics. Battery life wasn't too wonderful. Bad apple, maybe.. I talk on phone too much? maybe... hehehe What are they for??? Static and background noise in phone. It was there, and it was there anytime I went outside. Even had my line checked! You have to transfer the call to the other handset. How silly is that?? Maybe they should market for businesses only? I was very, very disappointed. Understand, I am used to 40 buck phones, and I get this 150 ( at time ) buck one, and it is CRAPOLA!! C'mon. Needless to say, My Mother now has a VERY nice phone, as I didn't return it in time. Now I am giving dad this Siemens 4200, cause it is the bomb in some ways, but SUCKS in the ways that TRULY count for Me.
