Summary: G R E A T
Review: These are really great headphones, and they are very comfortable. Although, do NOT get these if you have a big head, or ears that stick out. THEY WILL NOT WORK. Amazing sound quality, (even better than the sony ones that were 30 bucks)and great bass.
If you are having trouble putting them on, here is some advice:

a) Pull the clip thing away from the headphone gently, and stick it on your ear, pushing the headphone against/behind your ear, as you do so.

Or, if that doesnt work, (Or they wont stay on)

b) take the rubber end of the clip and pull it over the other side of the headphone and then pull it back. THEN stick them on your ear. (This works if you want them tighter, like for working out laying down)

Buy this pair of headphones if you want some really inexpensive ones that sound amazing

Summary: Great Sound
Review: The sound is superb, especially for the price. Unfortunately, I found them a little lacking in the "stay in place on your ear" department when working out (especially running). So I returned them and bought the KSC-55, which uses the same driver as the KSC-50, but uses a behind-the-head strap to hold them in place on your head. Now I'm a happy camper.

Summary: a bit disappointing
Review: For the past few years, I've had a struggle to try and find the best kind of headphones. I've had in ear ones, with headbands, and with out, and I've had many basic over ear ones with headbands, but these would be my first over-ear without a headband. The second they arrived, and I took them out of their packaging, the left ear piece came out of it's casing, speaker, foam and all. Now it pops out every so often, and I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed. As for the feel, they are very comfortable, except for when you're laying down, because they tend to slip off your ears. I guess that's why they say that they're for active use. The sound is fine, but I usually like to have music straight to my ears, so it can block out what ever else is going on. These block everything out, but since they're hanging loosely on your ears, the sound isn't as full as I would have liked. All in all I give them 3.5 stars.

Summary: go with the KSC-35s
Review: ... These are bigger and doesn't stay on your ears ... I prefer the KSC-35s as they sound better and hug your ears. The the KSC-50s are good, decent, cheap ... but I reccommend the KSC-35s instead

Summary: Not for running...
Review: I bought these a few months ago because I had been pretty satisfied with other Koss headphones. Unfortunetly these are not worth the price. The sound is ok, but it doesn't block out outside noise even on full volume. The foam covers kept coming off, and , though my ears my be smaller than average, when running on the treadmill they would not stay in my ears. Over all I would not recommend these headphones.

Summary: sounds good, doesn't block out noise
Review: I agree with some of the other reviewers that the sound quality is quite decent. It's true that the behind the ear clip takes a little getting used to, but generally holds on okay. The problem is that it doesn't keep out any external noise whatsoever. I bought these because I fly a lot, but I find myself needing to crank up my CD player to block out the jet noise.

Summary: There Are Better Alternatives
Review: I'm going to make this review as simple and straight-forward as I can.

PRO'S: The sound quality is quite good. It's got great bass and sounds pretty crisp.

CON'S: Everything else. They will NOT stay on your ears if you so much as sneeze. They leak a LOT of sound so everyone within 5 feet will hear your song well enough to recite the words. It's pretty cheaply made - the chord split open, exposing the wires, at 4 different spots. These were just spots where the chord was bent or wrapped up. How are you going to put these in your bag/purse without slightly bending the wire??

Bottom line = Get other headphones, of better quality, for the same price. These are disappointing to say the least.

Summary: Great Sound Quality, Except On The Go
Review: If you are just sitting around the house and wanting something small and compact that sounds good to listen to your portable CD player with, these are great. Clean sound and good bass overall, not to mention very comfortable.

But I really hope you don't plan to use these while walking down a sidewalk with traffic on the street or on a bus. They are virtually unusable with any outside noise as it drowns out the sound from these headphones very easily. And by the time you turn up the volume enough to hear them somewhat anybody near you can hear your music nearly as much as you can. Chances are pretty good that the person sitting next to you on the bus doesn't have the same music tastes as you, so this is definately not a good thing (not to mention it really is just plain rude to have headphones this loud).

If they would just find some way to get these things to block out external noise to even a small degree these would be great portable headphones. But you have to be in a quiet environment to really use them, and when being used portable that isn't going to happen often. They just aren't very good for their intended use.

Summary: Headphone heaven for the hyper!!
Review: I love the sound of music through headphones, but hate the headphones themselves. That's because I never sit still, and headphones were always sliding around or falling off my head, which drove me nuts. After about an hour of wearing these headphones, however, I forgot I had them on, and am now so used to them I take them everywhere I go. They're incredibly comfortable once you get used to them. I am amazed at how good they are for the price.

The sound quality definitely improves with use, and they have greatly enhanced my delight in owning my Rio 800 mp3 player, which I must admit I wasn't using very much (the headphones that come with that item are abysmal.) These two items put together, though, make a great combination--easy and lightweight to use and carry around with you. Highly recommended.

Summary: For the price they're OK
Review: Don't get me wrong, for the price, these are OK headphones. The sound is decent and they are fairly portable. However, there are some drawbacks.

1) They hurt your ears a little bit. Maybe I just need to give them more time.

2) Since they are open air headphones, other people can hear your music too. If you're going to use them while riding a bus or on a shuttle, then you might make others angry. If you're going running with them, then they should be fine.

One of the pluses to these headphones is that they hold very well. So if you like to run, they'll be very good.
