Summary: A sturdy pair of headphones
Review: I bought these headphones for use with my walkman about two years ago and they have been great the whole time the quality is very good. They are a little bassey but nothing to be worried about what is most impressive is how resilient they are. I have taken them travelling on my year out to Asia and South America where they sat in a well stuffed rucksack and they still work fine. They even got sand in them. A good design area is the fact that the speakers can detatch from the head band very easily thus protecting them in a bag and then they take up less space. The cables go to both ears not just the left but that isn't a problem. A great buy!

Summary: Excellent for the price
Review: I bought these headphones to use in the office so I could listen to music while working, but still hear others around me. Well, this set turned out to do the job perfectly. They sound incredible and I can still hear things around me. These headphones are comfortable, even if I wear them the entire day. While they don't look very sturdy, I must have dropped these off my desk at least 20 times onto a hardwood floor with no problems at all. The cord is extra long which is great since that means I can move around quite a bit without taking them off. In short, a really nice pair of headphones for a great price.

Summary: Awful, Simply Awful!!!
Review: I don't know about the rest of you but these headphones sounded awful and became very uncomfortable. I do not reccomend them to anyone!

Summary: An excellent deal
Review: I don't pretend to be an audiophile, but I can't imagine getting [inexpensive] headphones that are going to sound better than these. They have a real warm sound, yet still give nice detail to individual instruments. And, contrary to some other reviews, the headband is adjustable. Over the years I have owned a few sets of headphones in this price range and I highly recommend the Sennheiser HD433. If my two year old breaks these, like he did the headphones I had before these, I will order another pair .... In fact, the more that I listen to them, I think my little fella did me a favor in getting rid of the ones I had before.

Summary: Impressive
Review: I must say that the sound quality is very impressive. The audio is very crisp and natural. Most of the other headphones I tried are just bassy and muddy. Because of that, it may take you a little while to get use to the sound. I've been using Sony for the past 6 years, i must say that i'm incredibly disappointed with Sony's inferior sound quality (MDR-700, who would have thought)

I do however disagree with the editorial review about the limited high frequencies: 20kHz is more than enough, as a matter of fact people who could hear at this frequency should consider themselves very lucky. headphones that could output mid-20kHz range wouldn't make a difference to most people, as the majority wouldn't pick up anything at those frequencies anyway.

So the high-frequency response of these headphones is not all that limited, in my opinion, its just about right :-)

Summary: Good sound but tight on the ears
Review: I purchased the HD433 headphones recently. I have been impressed with the sound quality. I agree with what other reviewers say in that regard. However, I have a large head (7-1/2 hat size). I find that I can't wear the HD433 headphones for more than 1 hour at a time before the clamping pressure on my ears becomes unbearable. If you have a large head you may want to consider a different product.

Summary: Very Nice Headphones for the Price
Review: I purchased these headphones for home use with my Sony Walkman CD player. I would rate the sound quality as very high. They are much, much better sounding than the standard issue headphones that come with most personal listening devices. They fit snuggly, but not too tightly as to be uncomfortable, even for extended periods. The cord is nice and long and thicker than most, so it doesn't tangle. My cord attaches to both earpieces, not just the left earpiece, but this is not a problem. I would not recommend purchasing these if you intend to use them while exercising, jogging, ect., because they are too large and would be too hot. These headphones seem to be a very good value given their price.

Summary: Good value and good sound quality
Review: I'd reccomend these headphones as they are a good value, but I can't say they're great. The sound quality is very good for the midrange and high, but the bass is not exceptional. Comfort also becomes an issue after wearing them for a while. They squeeze a little too tightly on my ears, and I have to take them off about once or twice an hour to relieve the pressure.
If you're looking for very good sound quality at a reasonable price, these headphones are for you. However, if you plan on wearing the headphones for extended periods of time, I'd reccomend shopping for a more comfortable pair.

Summary: impressive clarity
Review: I'm a studio owner and musician. I bought these hearing of the good reviews, but when I plugged them in my computer to listen to a CD I had to come straight to Amazon to write them up...

I'm impressed with the clarity in the high end and punch in the mid lows around 500 Hz ... I finally got rid of the ridiculous eq settings on winamp after using these.

I'm noticing poor mastering jobs on stone temple pilot's latest record with these... dang cool.
