Review: I spend quite a bit of time on a bike, both on and off road. These things are great, superb bass, great highs and mids. The fit can take some time getting used to, but they are worth it. And... you can't beat the price.

Summary: Great Sound without cranking the volume
Review: I read all of these reviews and was convinced that this was the pair of earbuds that I wanted. I used them on the first day to mow the grass. They worked perfectly. The mower sound was drowned out with only the deep rich bass on my new Dishwalla album in my ears. They did slowly come loose after a while, but I haven't messed with the other sized foam plugs included in the package. (My pair is silver and blue, not like the photo.)However, do not eat with them on. Reason #1--the earplugs slowly work their way out of your ear when your jaw is chewing. Reason #2--with the plugs in, you can hear yourself chewing and its quite disgusting. These had better sound than I ever expected from an under [dollar amount] pair of earphones. Just make sure they are all the way in (without puncturing your eardrum) and hold it for 5 seconds or so to let the foam expand.

Summary: Absolutely the best!
Review: Although it costs twice as much in US funds, I'm very satisfied. My first pair had a button to stop sounds and extra plugs plus a case. It broke two months after, since I tied it to make it shorter. One side wasn't functionning well because of that. I used it in the plane and it blocked 70% of the engine noise! Economy class really spikes your ears so they should sell these in airports. Also the plastic dried up(I don't know why!). My tip: never tie the wires! it causes the metalic wires inside to break. Because of this, it costs me hundreds of dollars. My second set was simpler, but at the same price as my first. No more annoying button to stop music. The tube that you see when you removed the plugs was mostly rubber(unlike totaly in plastic) so it's improved. The extra plugs where all different sshapes and sizes so there are some that I can't use. The main problem is that sometimes I sleep on my side while wearing them and the plug breaks. Second tip: I have two versions, blue/yellow and purple/gray. What you get in the package is sorta different so choose carefully! The mute button can be easily pressed... so it's a small hint. Third tip: if it doesn't fit, change the plugs or turn and push it in your ear. It doesn't really fit when only pushed. Fourh tip: smaller plugs are better for best sound proof and quality. Finally: the plugs with break down, piece by piece, until it doesn't fit if you unplug and plug them often. The mute button was meant for that if it helps you purchase. I'll only buy these kind of earphones since it's like plugging your ears with rubber corks and istening to music at the same time. The price in Canada is kinda steep... if you buy it here you save 40%(with the currency and taxes)!

Summary: KOSS "THE PLUG" EARBUDS FOR DUMMIES.
Review: I heave read many of the review on this site, and I probablly would have not used my Koss earbuds to the full extend if I have not read many of the reviews. First issue is that people cannot get the earbuds to stay in their ear. I found my earbuds not needing any modification when it comes to foam, but rather they way the earbud is placed in. The first problem that I had is stuffing it in my ear, they would fall out, and the foam would look all pushed back on the stick (refering to the rubber sticking out from the headphone). YOu must firmly squeze the foam from all sides and quickly insert it into the ear. You will know if the ear bud is firmly in by shaking your head, and nothing is falling out. Do the same for thea other ear. Now you will hear the amazing quality of the sound that these pupies can give. The base is amazing, these earbuds I find better quality then my Sony Studio Monitoring headset (one great advantage of earbuds, the volume on my MD player doesn't have to be set to the max to hear any music). The sound quality is amazing, the isolation from outside is great, especially on a loud bus, unlike other earbuds. ONLY IF THE EARBUDS SET PROPERLY INTO THE EAR YOU WILL HEAR THE FULL QUALITY OF THE SOUND... I heard no distortion...I hope my review helped you on earbuds.

Summary: A matter of foam and fit prevents perfection
Review: First off, these little things are capable of impressive sound, considering the size. The problem, as others have noted, is getting just the right fit in your ear canals, which seems to have a _large_ effect on the bass as heard. As best I can get them to fit, the bass is a little weak. Very, very light fingertip pressure improved the bass noticeably. But, this is not exactly convenient (besides the fact that you must be VERY careful with hard objects - the tubes - in your ear canals!). Second, that soft foam feels like it will evaporate in a very short time. I think some experimentation with the harder compressible foam protective earplugs might be worth a try.

Summary: Great headphones, but ONLY the 'new ones'
Review: Ok the first thing about this review. I have a pair of the 'new' the Plug headphones. They are not the ones pictured here. They have no mute button and are metallic silver and purple in color not blue and yellow. Apprently KOSS got a lot of feedback from the first version, they listened, and made a much better product. The ones I have are just fantastic. Great bass, like the original, but very good mids and lows as well. They work better as isolation headphones then anything I have used before, but apprently people who are audiophiles are not that impressed. Also they have fantastic volume ability. Because they are in your ear canal I can turn my portable equipment up really loud. I don't but its nice if you want to. Music sounds great with these headphones. Frankly best headphones I have ever used, BUT I am using the NEW VERSION not the blue and yellow ones pictured here. OK right now what to do? I would call Amazon and MAKE SURE you are getting the new version. I never used the one they have listed here but almost everywhere I looked on the net, people say the new version is MUCH BETTER...

Summary: Pretty good...
Review: At first, I thought this was the worst sounding set of phones I'd ever bought. That was until I figured out how to wear them properly (after reading some other reviews here, actually). If they're not isolating other sounds, you're not wearing them right. Once you get them set up properly the bass is strong and the isolation is very nice -- it becomes apparent why they included a mute button. The high end is a little weaker than I'd like, which is why I'm not giving it 5 stars, but the bass is about as good as the best stereo monitor phones I've ever bought. And these are much easier to carry around with a MD or MP3 player than normal phones :)

Review: These headphones are pretty good. They take some work to get in but when you get them in they work like a champ. I think they are great. But the only bad thing was that they were hard to get in.

Summary: you gotta be smarter then the headphones to get em in
Review: these headphones i got because i needed something real small that sometimes i could hide during class =) and i've read the things about the hard to get it and scrape your ear thing, but you just have to be smarter than the headphones for them to work correctly, i got them, popped em in, tested them out and i LOVE them, one of the best pair i've bought, as a matter of fact i'm wearing them right now and i love them cause i've never had the tube scrape my ear cause you just gotta know how to put them in and they'll work great

Review: The good side: great package, block outside noise, the best portable bass I have heard, extra foam's, looks different and of course lifetime warranty. The bad side: the same everybody say - they just hard to get into your ear and make them stay there!, but once you get the hang of it it's o.k, midrange & treble preety weak.
