Summary: Best sub-$100 headphones for portables
Review: ...and possibly the best sub-$100 headphones, full stop. I bought these for use with my iPod, and was rather disturbed to discover that they sound better than my $100+ full-size Sennheisers, which I picked after auditioning a dozen pairs of headphones at a serious hi-fi store.One caveat though--you will get tinny bass if your portable system can't drive them sufficiently. The solution is to get a headphone amplifier; I have a Xin supermini amp the size of a matchbox which makes an incredible difference, bringing the iPod's sound quality to within spitting distance of my Harman Kardon amp and CD player. On systems with adequate driving power, I actually find the PX200s to be a little bass-heavy. I use them with my home equipment, and dial down the bass a little. However, slightly overemphasized bass is probably what you want for a portable. What's important is that the midrange and high end are smooth and clean and not tiring to listen to, and musical details are clear and not hidden. From a practicality standpoint, the sound insulation is excellent, the headphones are comfortable to wear for hours at a time, they fold up small enough to fit in a pocket, and they come with a nifty protective hard case. Forget the Koss PortaPros and try these first.

Review: Before buying these, I had some traditional foldup made by sony.While those are good, these are soo much better! They compliment any mp3 player. Portable, affordable, and all time great. They require a breakin period. I think of them as a fine wine. . . they get better with age!

Summary: Very good upto 3 hours
Review: First, this is the most expensive pair of headphones I have ever owned. With that out of the way: I am no audiophile, but I do wear my headphones for a long time, and the PX200 sits nicely for about 3 hours. Beyond that, my ears start hurting. Other than that, I feel the headphone audio quality has improved over time (very subjective, probably), and some of my music sounds better (or else I have listened to them enough to 'know' them well!) Also, keeps out some external noise (though I must say I haven't tried Bose or the other high-end models yet). My earlier purchase was the Gemini HP550, and that was bad and bulky; see my review there. The Sennheiser PX200, though still not very compact, sits nicely in its case, well-protected in my bag. It's a pain to pack the headphones properly, which is why I docked it a star. Looks like this will last a while. I don't regret buying it for near the list price.

Summary: In my own world of Audio!
Review: Flat out, these headphones bring it all! The lows, the highs- it has a very dynamic range of sound for the type of music I listen to. (Classic Rock,Rock,Blues,Progressive,Some Funk)
I know I've never heard a set of headphones, in this price range, that produce this kind of full, warm, sharp audio. None of the Sony or Aiwa headphones I've owned in the past compare.
Do not listen to others who downgrade this set of phones due to the "bassy" response it gives -- just set your bass setting down a bit and enjoy an EXCELLENT headset. Some even went as far as saying they don't sound good? WHAT??? Are you people tone deaf? I've been listening to high-end audio equipment for years -- and this is a hell of a value.
The *only* minor gripe is they indeed fit your head a bit tighter than most headphones, but the quality is worth the snugness. Good construction too. Cord is plenty long. Fairly easy to store in case after a little playing.
You will NOT be disappointed with them!

Summary: Forget about it.
Review: I bought these based on recommendations on a music newsgroup, and on Amazon. These are very disappointing headphones.
First, they're allegedly "closed", but are nothing of the sort, and provide no more sonic isolation than any open design I've used (including the allegely "open" PX-100's).
Second, the sound awful, with an overresonant, honking sound that I find absolutely unacceptable in a $10 set of headphones that might be included with a portable CD player. There's no excuse for a $50 set of phones sounding like this.
Third, they can only be driven by portable units with fairly high output.
Horrible purchase, and I'm usually a huge Sennheiser fan. I bought a pair of PX-100's last night, and they are infinitely superior, and slightly cheaper. I also use Koss $15 "Plug" earbuds, and these are also superior to the PX-200 in every way, including isolation.

Summary: Excellent Choice
Review: I bought these headphones for my husband for Christmas after my reading the many high scored reviews. He is very auditory and loves music and I wanted to get him something he would enjoy.
When he tried these headphones he was blown away with the quality sound. I had to try them for myself and I have to tell you, I have never heard such quality sound from such a small light weight headphone before. I had goose bumps for most the time I was listening to some of our favorite music because it felt like the music was just flowing through my whole body, no kidding. They are very comfortable and also cut out background noise really well.
I rarely if at all give reviews on purchased items, but I had to speak up for these well made quality headphones.
My husband and I believe these are one of the best quality headphones that he is now buying me a pair.Yippy!!!!
The storage case does take a bit of time to figure out headphone placement, yet once you do it, it is simple each consecutive time.

Summary: Not good enough for the price
Review: I continue my search for a good replacement for my aging Sony MDR-M77 headphones. The PX 200 is not the answer. Although they have better balance than some other headphones I auditioned, they are not up to snuff. I was hoping for the great bass reproduction of the Sennheiser HD-497. I recommend the HD-497 headphones if you have space to carry them around. They are not really portable, but head-and-shoulders better than the PX 200. I cannot recommend the PX 200. They were so tinny, I could not listen to them for more than 10 minutes. I keep looking for a better pair of portable headphones.

Summary: Excellent purchase
Review: I got these after I got the Koss KSC50s and I have to say that these are fantastic. In Singapore these cost about S$100. For the price I expected them to be fairly good. -Audio quality. Sennheiser doesn't disappoint. I'm no audiophile, but these were excellent. Highs and mids are good, but maybe the bass sounds a bit weak in my opinion. Still, excellent.
-Comfort. These are perhaps the most comfortable portable headphones I have ever tried, and I have tried alot in my quest for headphones. I can barely feel them on my head. However, some may find it hot inside their ears for extended periods of time.
-Noise dampening. I tried them on at a busy shop. The background noise was immediately dampened and I could even listen to classical music.
-Seems to be quite cheaply made however... I foresee it breaking under constant use. If you want a pair of headphones for under S$100 ( or however it translates for you) these are the pair to get.

Summary: Quality/Compact Headphones
Review: I got these from Amazon for 49.99 and Free Shipping.As soon as I opened the box I was impressed with the build quality and small size.I connected them to my Creative Muvo 256 MB MP3 Player.Music sounded very clear and real.I see lot of other people are saying that thses headphones need some breakin time so I guess they will sound even better after some use.For the price,comfort and quality they are a steal.I do agree that the storage box is a nice extra but I am not sure how easy it will be to store the Phones back in the box.I recommend it highly and will buy this brand again.

Summary: good, but not worth the money
Review: I had the chance to sit down with these headphones tonight and to my suprise, they do not sound as good as I would have expected from a name like sennheiser. The music i tested them with ranged from DMX to Paul Simon, and in the case of the rap, the bass was flat, and the highs were not as percise as they should have been. Now i do realize these are portable headphones, but i have a pair of Optimus (a name radioshack uses) but in reality they are Koss headphones, well i got them for 40 bucks a few years back and their bass response, and treble are much much better than these guys... I currently own a pair of Sennheiser HD 570 over the year headphones, which i can use for a sort of "reference of excellence" in headphones, but as far as these portables go, i would look for another brand, perhaps another model sennheisers, or the portables Bose has to offer..
